Have you tried this web page?

https://www.outandaboutlive.co.uk/motorhomes/buyer...

There is a section to select the berths you want, and it lists all of the motorhomes and gives a few details on them (eg whether they are A Class / Coachbuilt etc etc)

Although I have an A Class I wouldn't rule out a conversion using the standard cab if the rest of the motorhome were what you need/want.

In an A Class the dashbord / seat positions etc are identical to the cab based conversions. In an A Class you gain the bigger screen and a feeling of a little more space, but this space is not massively usable as its at the sides of the seats and in front of the dash towards the windscreen. You normally also lose a door into the cab with an A Class, LHD is not too bad, but for RHD it can be a bit of a pain not having a door for the driver to directly exit.

The standard cab conversions are also potentially better for servicing / maintenance due to A classes often having limited bonnet access and also for availability of parts such as windows should anything happen.

Thanks dterry , yes i have checked reviews on that site. I hear what you say but that big front screen does it for me plus the bed above cab which is out of the way and yes really i would prefer an LHD.

Don't under estimate the usefulness of a garage. From everything to bikes, chairs, tables and all that wine, it's a really handy thing to have.

Really happy with our TEC, it feels quality and it even has leather upholstery (ours has fixed double bed over the garage to the rear, with another double that drops down from the ceiling over the lounge, the beauty of that is when there is only the two of us, that bed stays out of the way and we don't lose any space)

(As far as the Swift, I'd steer away from anything British built. I know it's not patriotic but some of the build quality is shocking . . .)

I would be rather worried about the engine size on that one!

Now that does look like a nice motorhome, if I had deeper pockets I would have had a Burstner myself! They seem very impressive when you see them in the metal. Its nice that its not white as well.

Whilst the layout wouldn't be for us I do like the idea of the rear being a drop down bed from the ceiling rather than having to convert the sofas into a bed every night. Not sure on the benefits of the front bed being electric, pulling them down manually isn't exactly difficult.

Personally if I were going for one of those I'd go for the maxi chassis and have it as 4250kg, the standard 3500kg version only has 300kg of payload which is pretty dire.

That dealer is just down the road from us. Never bought from them, but have been in a few times and they've always seemed decent with good stock. Been around for years too, not sure they've got their own workshop any more though.

One thing to consider, that we didn't realise until we had our Hymer, is how useful the dashboard space is. Some are sculpted plastic and quite sloping but ours is completely flat and level, which makes it useful for things like this:

Our dog spends most of his time up there while we're parked up, it means he can see out and it keeps him out from under our feet, makes the motorhome feel much bigger.

We are on our second Burstner. Out first was an 2010 Solano which we changed this year for a 2014 Elegance (a class).

There was nothing significantly wrong with the old van, only the payload and I was looking at putting air suspension on it.

The drop down bed over the rear lounge was something we looked at, but she who must be obeyed wanted a fixed bed, so we went that route. Burstner are part of the Hymer group.

The lack of a drivers door would put me off as well, which is why we went for the 2014 as at that stage they were still putting drivers doors on RHD vans.

Our 2014 van has a minor issue with the hab/engine heat exchanger, but that is it. Our older van only had a couple of cosmetic issues.
