Plans for 2019?

Got back from our annual 2 week holiday. Camping near Ripon, 10 days of glorious sunny weather. We were a stone's throw from the river so we were all nice and cool on the hottest day of the year. The beer at the pub 10mins walk up the river away was also lovely and cold.
The weather was forecast to turn for our last weekend, so cut our camping stay a few days early to get a dry packup and headed to my parents static caravan near the Lake District. Weather was so so, but was much more comfortable.
Trailer seems to be suffering with the weight of all the gear, frame seems to be sagging, so will get that looked at. Also looking at having a custom rack fitted enabling us to strap 3 sit on kayaks to the trailer without affecting access to the stuff in the trailer too much.

Got back yesterday from a weekend at Lacock in Wiltshire. I stayed at the Piccadilly camp site which is literally the other side of the A350 from the village of Lacock. I've staid there a few times in the past so know it well.
The reason I was at Lacock was to attend their World War 2 weekend where they have military vehicles and re-eneactors depicting different aspects of World War 2 (and some other conflicts) as well as some traders and entertainers. The event was a bit low key compared to previous years and the weather on Saturday was a bit wild, wet and woolly, which kept visitor numbers down. Sunday was a lot better and I really enjoyed myself - despite the fact that I developed a full-on head cold.
That's it for planned motorhome breaks for a while. I'd like to use it a few more times this year but I really have to concentrate on both work and household chores over the next few weeks as my breaks have meant some of these have been neglected somewhat.

Weekend at Beaulieu for the T-Chill festival, a VW Transporter meet up. Not done one of these before but worst case, access to the museum was included and it serves as a good dry run ahead of Ill de Ré this coming weekend.
The weather was abysmal! The wind was strong and the rain, whilst intermittent and predominantly at night, was sideways.
Friday night was stronger than this!
Turn out wasn't as much as we were expecting and there was no organisation with where people parked in the field inside Beaulieu's grounds. It was park where you like. Having seen the flags on other vans as we turn up, I parked the caravan head first into the wind.
I also parked our T5 in front of the caravan as a wind break but even still, I couldn't keep the pilot light on the fridge alive in the wind which meant everything warmed up over night :-/ Annoying.
Anyway, nice little run out with a load of other Transporter van's up the road to Buckler's Hard Maritime Museum. Free coffee and cake included!
Nice afternoon around the museum, BBQ in the evening and drove home Sunday. When leaving, the Grundon bin was full of broken tents and poles!

Not long back from the Norfolk / Essex tour. Towing home on Saturday was fun though surprisingly everything felt quite controlled. I guess it's one of the big advantages of having a fairly heavy caravan and it always feeling nicer to tow when its got stuff in it.
Holiday was good, what rain we had seemed to happen overnight. Had a good few beach days, boat trip on the Broads, etc.
So we have Sunday 25th August to Friday 30th available for a trip and I've yet to book anything. What to do? Something withing a 1 - 1.5 hours of Worcester would be good as I've spent too long in the car (with the kids) on the last trip. Decisions, decisions....
