Or don't they just not care?

Son's in Cornwall with their caravan and as you may kniow they had some windy weather last couple of days. Tent behind him had very loose guy ropes and son suggested to the chappie that with the anticipated overnight blow it might be a good idea to check them. He didn't and sure enough at dawn the tent blew down and crashed into his caravan making a small but inconsequential mark. Chappie denied it was his tent that had done it and when son asked him why he hadn't tightened the guy ropes he told him he didn't need to 'cos they'd borrowed the tent from his sister in law confused

Walking round the site a 5am and there was a large eight berth type tent with no guy ropes at all and sure enough come 6am it was flattened and the family were sitting in their car. Eight o clock they were gone but by ten were back with a brand new exact same tent which they proceeded to erect, again with no guy ropes.

Son says there was so many tents destroyed that Go Outdoors must be having a field day

Makes you wonder doesn't it.

Was staying at Brixham (Hillhead) a few years ago, had the awning up. Forecast was for heavy gales.

Got back to the van late afternoon, immediately took down the awning much to the amusement of our neighbours.

Much wind in the night, and noise. Next door caravan had shredded awning and the rails had gone straight through the side if the van. Someone else's awning presumably in Torbay, just the bead left in the awning rail and the contents of their awning all over the campsite.

So yes, people are that stupid.

They just don't care. About anything. The people who dent your caravan and don't care are teh people who dent your car in carparks and don't care.
I'd have rammed the pole up his arse.

Retards.

We've just got home from a long weekend at the NSRA show at Old Warden, there's been warnings & signs about not camping or parking under trees due to the recent dry spell & the forecasted winds, yesterday part of a large tree (2ft diameter & 60ft long!) came down destroying 2 tents, fortunately no one was in them, 2 people were slightly injured but had it happened at night.......
