Looking to get a new caravan awning for summer (yes i'm optimistic). I'm after an air awning, 300-360 in size. Due to dealers being closed, I can't just go and examine what they're like! What do people have and recommend? Are there any things that you particularly like or dislike about their design?

We’ve got an Outdoor Revolution Oxygen 2 but I’m not sure if they’re made anymore.

It’s really easy to put up, once it’s fed through the rail it’s a 15 minute job to inflate it and peg it down. It’s a 350 and is plenty big enough for us (4 + a dog).

Quality is excellent, it’s remained up and steady in some pretty fierce Cornish winds and is watertight.

As all the ‘poles’ are air filled it’s not damaged the van in any way.

Friends of ours have a Vango air awning which is arguably a better shape than ours but it’s more cumbersome and was quite a bit more costly.

We bought our first campervan last year and also bought an Olpro awning. It is one with air beams and proved easy to pit up for novices like us.

It feels well made and the design is well thought through and great after sales from them too when we wanted some idiots advice.

They do caravan awnings too so in my limited experience I wound check them out.

Kampa air awnings are superb quality. Easy to put up and the material they are made from is super strong.

I agree, I've had Kampa awning for years, and they look good.

But, around 2017 lots of owners of brand new Kampa awnings began to report that they leaked very badly. Kampa refused to acknowledge the problem claiming it was condensation, despite videos being sent to them showing rain almost pouring through the roof. These folk had spent many hundreds £££ on their lovely new awnings and Kampa dismissed them all. Many owners had to just throw them away, or pass the problem on to someone else by selling them 2nd hand. This problem has persisted and even last year I was hearing of owners having leaking brand new Kampa awnings.

Theres even a Facebook group set up where owners post their leaking videos, with a movement towards taking legal action.

I bought a 2nd hand Kampa Rally Pro 330 in 2019 and thankfully it doesn't leak, but I wouldn't buy a brand new one.

As a second awning for weekends we have a Sunncamp Swift 220 which goes up/down very quickly, is very easy to handle when hanging it up to dry at home, and is very fast to dry. I now want a 390 size awning and I think I will get a Sunncamp Swift. The material quality isn't as good as my Kampa, but the advantages of easy pitching and quick drying is a bonus.

We also have an Isabella with sleeping annexe which is great for 2 week stays, but I wouldn't put it up for anything shorter.
