How much can I tow behind Citroen relay, Post 2997 license
Discussion
Oppps edit for title mistake, 1997, I am not a time traveler
So I have a big camper I built, we want to tow a caravan as family getting bigger and we are getting a bit tired of the huge tent going up and down on longer stays.
What can we tow? I am confused. I read it as the van is 3500kg so I can only tow a trailer beneath 750kg? I doubt I will get a caravan that light that I want really.
Van info is here, would love to be able to tow a standard 4 berth, or even 2 berth van behind it without having to do the extra license tests.
Current set up

Have a read of this;

However you're probably right if you have a post 1997 licence.

Towing vehicle weight does mean only a trailer of 750KG behind on a standard B license after 1997
If you took B+E then you could pull anything upto 3.5 tonne behind - your van capacity is 2.5 tonne, not that it matters you won't find many caravans that heavy!
I am sitting my B+E soon, I recently bought a caravan but luckily with the tow car I have it is inside the max 3.5 tonne car + caravan limit (it helps a lot that the caravan is only MTPLM of 1100KG), quite a few I looked at I would've not been able to tow on my license with my car due to its kerb weight but ironically/moronically I could've if say I had a car where its kerb weight were lower but then that is slipping the scales of balance towards the tail wagging the dog so to speak

So I asked this question back in may and things seemed to have changed.
Am I right in think I can now/ very soon tow a caravan behind my camper without sitting a test?
Fingers crossed I can finish the ensemble and start fighting men in carparks over deals about horses
As far as I understand it, yes.Am I right in think I can now/ very soon tow a caravan behind my camper without sitting a test?

But.
More importantly, where is the camper build thread? Also can you send me the details on the Galaxy front seat conversion we discussed ages ago?
