I take it that you haven't seen this, then? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1679332/
no I haven't, will have to give it a try though - I suspect being animated it's going to be still several notches higher on the believability scale than the D&D moviesHave read an awful lot of them - the perfect brain off books
The Horus Heresy series is absolutley cracking - the first few are a bit more linear (i.e before the rebellion), with I think 4 or 5 being mostly about the Luna Wolves before Horus loses it, but after then they are all interspersed and tell the story from a different angle - you get really envolved with the story as you see it from so many different perspectives.
Gaunts Ghosts is another great series - less space marines though
The "omnibus" ones I didnt enjoy as much - they all seem much less believable - one or 2 spacemarines who are the main characters and basically unkillable - more trashy and less depth than HH or GG IMO.
The movie is dross - it really feels made to a budget - crap CGI and lots of "fog" just doesn't cut it anymore - but it would never have worked - same reason a big screen movie for Halo or Gears of War won't - they have a huge budget, it is a flop in the box office because lots won't see a movie of a game or they have a tiny budget, again only hardcore fans see it and they are pissed off because it was a crap movie. Lose lose for the studion - make a commercial flop or ps off your core fans.

Finished the Ultramarines omnibus, quite enjoyed it but found the writing tiresome towards the end as McNeil nissan on describing every pissing piece of dust and bacteria present in the scene he is describing. Not an issue at the start, but became fed up with the obvious padding to reach a word count
Currently reading the Night Lords trilogy...... probably the best I have read so far, flew through Soul Hunter in 3 days and almost finished Void Stalker, highly recommend them

I've almost finished the Space Wolf omnibus (have read both) and fancy reading another warhammer 40k book
What would be best to go for next? I'm looking at Eisenhorn, Blood Angels Omnibus or the Ultramarines omnibus
The blood angels was good, can't comment on the others though. What would be best to go for next? I'm looking at Eisenhorn, Blood Angels Omnibus or the Ultramarines omnibus
