Has anybody been mentioned in a book or had a family member been written about?
My grandad was imortalised in words in a book called No mandalay No maymyo (79 survive).
It was written by Cpt Gerald Fitzpatrick, based on his accounts of WW2 in the burma jungle.
It is a fantastic book that has a very personnal touch.
So anyone else been in a book or had a family member in one.

I recognised a few friends when reading Alan Bissett’s early novels … but then Glasgow and Edinburgh can be quite small places, socially. It wasn’t a surprise.
