What to do with a load of WWII and political books?

My father died a few years ago, and he had collected around 300 books mostly relating to World War 2 and UK politics in the war years, especially Churchill.
They are all hardback and dated 1950's to 70's. They are of no interest to me and my mother wants shot of them.
I doubt they have much value, and wondered if anyone knew of a book seller who might be interested in taking the lot?
