(mods, can we leave this here, rather than stick it in books & literature, please?)

So, what mags do you read? I ask because I've recently started reading articles on VICE and I've "discovered" WIRED magazine, off the back of reading a link on here to a WIRED article about Titan & the Cougar Ace.

The other usual suspects for me are EVO, The Economist & New Scientist.

None at the minute...

I used to read Practical Classics, Land Rover World and TopGear. Then I just stopped buying them, wasn't a conscious decision either... just stopped picking them up, no idea why scratchchin

I remember when I would by half a dozen magazines a month, now I'll only pick up the odd issue if it appeals at the time. I suppose nowadays there are so many free offerings online, that some magazines now just feel like back-to-back adverts. Not that I'm saying that's a bad thing necessarily.

Anyway, I get the BASC and LAA magazines as part of my subs. Buy Pilot/Flyer occasionally (more often 'borrow' my dad's copies), and the Economist and the New York Times on Newsstand. Very occasionally a running/outdoor fitness type magazine to check for new kit. Can't remember the last time I bought a car magazine, but it was probably a Land Rover one, or Motorsport.

Plenty of copies of National Geographic kicking around at work too.

Yeah, from here I think:

I read Develop3D, if you're into 3D printing, CAD and all that kind of technology it's worth a read.

Car, Bike & MMM here (motorhome magazine). Got subscriptions to all three. Much as I love my iPad, I still prefer traditional magazines.

To whatever mod moved this - did it not occur to you that plenty people buy magazines but don't read books, and by extension of that, wouldn't use the books and literature forum?

Rather than ticking boxes, try thinking outside them.

Kiss of death for your thread now. You'd be better off starting up another one.

Whoever moved it won't admit to their muppetry though, but it made them feel all warm and fuzzy inside when they realised they could use their moderating powers.

Evo, Motor Trend, National Geographic, Ski, Popular Photography.

Other than Evo, which I recently got a really good deal on, they're all US magazines with stupidly cheap subscriptions (c £1 an issue).

Read them on Zinio, mostly on an iPad.

On paper, I get Sports Diver, Diver (PADI and BSAC magazines) and Classic and Sportscar.

If I could get NG at anything like the same price for paper as e-magazine I would, but at 3 times the price, I decided I'd save myself the money. It also solves the problem of my rapidly expanding collection of back-issues (I'm a terrible hoarder...).

TKC (TotalKitCars), I get it free after off loading giving my collection of kitcar mags on to Steve Hole.

PC Pro, I took out a subscription years ago and have neve cancelled it.

I used to read a mixture of car and flying mags when I commuted into London but gave that up over ten years ago. Fellow commuters thought I was loaded because I wanted to build a plane at the time.
