Well narrated, but the plot is pulp. Having said that, I smashed through it so it was entertaining enough. I have loads of half listened to stuff. I think that does have a lot to do with the voice. Any good sci-fi recommendations?

Agreed. I imagine it’d be a nightmare with image and film rights to make. And frankly, it just wasn’t a very good story, and the retro stuff isn’t new any more like the first novel.
I’ve stalled about halfway through because I started another book.... I’ll reassess so far ... It’s ok but not a patch on the first ...
