Ah, but you're still a relative newby to PH Lisa
It's beginnings are now lost in time err... I mean, a fug of Guinness
Ah, but I used to read it way before I started posting. Fish has been a member for about 47 months, so he used to keep telling me the expolits of Mungo
There was a good interview with Ted in Sprint a while back (You may find it on the TVRCC site if you are not a subscriber to the mag).
I think it mentioned that Ted started of doing "The S files" and then went on to widening it to Petrolheads. He then wanted to make it its own thing (for want of a etter way to say it) and hence Pistonheads was born.
So although PH wasn't TVR only, its origins were.
Something like that anyway.
Someone will be along any minute to tell me Im completly wrong!

No doubt the person to answer this is Ted, but in the mid 90's there used to be a e-mail Groups Chat forum for TVRCC memebers. Around 97/98 (can't remember exactly when PetrolTed started an internet based chat forum as an alternative to the chat group. After a while as the forum florished the chat group withered and all "chat" moved to Ted's Petrolheads site. The rest is history, but it's been around for probabaly 6 years or more now. The member counters were re-set a couple of years ago so for example I'm shown as having been a member for 48 months but I can assure I've been around here for about 5 years! Rich...

Yep: I remember that in 98/99. I joined for a while but all the models were in together which meant you had to sift through the whole digest to find something relevant.
Ted, where are you hiding?

Ah, hence the special relationship between some members of the TVRCC and Pistonheads
The NSX UK group is going through something similar at the moment, a forum has been setup and is running alongside the original email group. Things can get a bit heated occasionally over it

..and the years flew past....when did we migrate from
the Domino email list? - 95-ish?
I got my Tasmin in '96 IIRC and we were still on Domino then. Sharp became Egroups and then the popups started....
Whatever happpened to Dave 'Dubbs' Lanagan? Seem to recall he was a funny geezer...

How telling
Looks like you're quoting something that has already been deleted. I'm sure if Ted wanted every Tom Dick & Harry to know his full name he'd have it posted on his profile.

Oops, sorry there, didn't realise it had been deleted (It was a quote of a quote from an earlier post).
