RE: Petrolhead heaven feels like this

etc. the driving experience is not all its cracked up to be.
The VXR is designed as a track day tool first and road car second, but even so it has been loved by everyone so far.
There is one on the second hand market at the moment for £27K, was on ebay.
- The ride is too harsh over minor bumps
Don't go near the NA then if you think the T is bad. I though it was to soft tbh!
- The wind noise past 70 mph is a bit of a joke
It is roofless car design, the canvas is to try and keep you dry when it rains.
- The acceleration is via turbo so try to be smooth round a mid speed bend and the turbo comes in, then out, then in, all making for a messy exit
I throught there was very little turbo 'kick' although there is an acknowledged dip at 3000rpm, a remap soon sorts it though
- Its too damned cramped
I have had a 3m X 3m pop up stand in the boot and others have been to switzerland and Le Man in theirs.
- Its too damned fragile
It is a GRP car, we have all knocked at front plates off, some forgot to re fit them, others went for smaller plates.
- Vauxhall dealers aftersales service is exactly what you'd expect
Yep, but find the keen ones and they know how to look after you.
- And if that wasn't enough, it sounds cr@p
Buy a sports exhaust, lots of after market one and several approved by vauxhall (the Miltek is fitted to the VXR as standard iirc)
- Sure, you can try to spank it everywhere but use it every day and you simply can't. It not fun.
26,000 in 2 years, others are up and around the 40k mark in 2 and 3 years.
