I have to say I think you guys are out of order.

By all means a bit of good-natured ribbing might be in order, but...

1) to c&p from somebody's profile and start a thread purely to embarrass and show them up
2) to keep on and on and on about it.

Not nice. Smacks of bullying. I usually find myself agreeing with V8's posts, he is erudite and seems to have his head screwed on right, he knows his cars, and he seems to know a lot about cars.

OK, he's got confused on something/badly worded it, and maybe that comes over a bit "knowall", but the guy's what, 20? I know I made mistakes and said things I regretted then (I still do! ) Give the guy a break, there've been a few on here who seem to have been relishing the whole thing a bit too much

I say this thread gets a lockdown, and stop the tiresome pisstake/crossovers into other threads, this place will be all the poorer without V8, and I wouldn't blame him if he did start spending less time on here.

All those of you saying "it wouldn't bother me", think carefully, if half the site started piling into the thread having a laugh when you thought they were friends or at least like-minded, how would you feel?
