Hi folks , after dipping in as a guest for years I've finally joined up 👍, I'm an absolute petrol head , love cars n bike bikes , and am lucky enough to have gotten a couple of interesting moters together, but the latest purchase has left me needing a bit of advice........ive just bought a v6 cayenne 2008 immaculate inside and out 59k full Porsche history all keys n books, bought from a specialist.......but, two days in and just after a few minutes of spirited driving on a hot day and I got a dreaded low oil pressure warning notification, pulled over straight away and turned engine off , checked oil level and it was fine , drove carefully home and all was fine went out for a couple of miles the next day , again all was fine , so have googled a bit and have found two things ......low oil pressure warnings seem quite common in Porsches (mostly sender faults) also 0w-30w oil specs are too thin in hot weather when pushing it , I've also on forums seen 5-30w recommended for this engine , but I'm wondering if a castrol edge 5-40w wouldn't be better for it , as I also use this in something else , id genuinely appreciate any thoughts on this please......dealer has said bring it back if it happens again, but I genuinely believe it could just be the 0-30w in a hot engine on a very hot day , cheers
