AFAIK there is a multiplication gear box in between which effectively reduces the torque output of the engine but means the output revs are more like a normal car engine. Then there's a torque converter, autobox and then the axle from an F-series truck.

I just thought I would resurrect this thread to say, that I have just read this month's PPC, and that new inlet manifold is positively pornographic. thumbup

I like the idea of butting a 27 liter motor in a car but a Rolls engine into that car is a bit like putting a Picasso into a outhouse

An outhouse is the best place for a Picasso IMO

With a name like MaxWedge, perhaps he's a jealous Princess fan?

This is truly the most outrageous Rover of all time. I can feel the love all the way over here in Oz.(And I thought a Twin-turbo Lexus V8 SD1 was OTT.) Any word on latest developments? Looking forward to more!!!! biggrin

This I would like to see also, having not found a local PPC vendor and too skint to subscribe. Have those flow issues been sorted and will we see this beast completed?

Having just read my subscription copy cover-to-cover (good work as always guys, and I thought your Mk3 Supra review was very well done last month btw) I can fill in a few details...

The reason the engine wasn't running right was because the people who Charlie contracted to grind the cams for it knew the square root of all about Meteor engines, and got the valve phasing totally wrong, ie if you timed up cylinder #1 then the cam timing on some of the other cylinders would be out by about 10 degrees. All the time spent on building, mapping, rebuilding and remapping the fuelling system was for nowt because it was never going to work right.

New cams have been sourced, and need refacing before being run.
