I remember reading about the Light Car Company's Rocket when I was young. This is a bit like that IMO. Very rapid, and obviously a track related car. I'll be interested to read reviews of it on the road. I think it looks good.

Totally agree, like a Rocket with side-by-side seats instead of one behind the other. I just hope its got the handling to match the looks as it looks like a much more road usable choice than the likes of a Radical!

This was one of the most impressive cars at Autosport this year - looks great, has a powerful engine and is light. Hopefully it will have handling to match.
This sort of thing is exactly what the UK car industry is about.
looks great to me and would solve the present problems i have with girlfriend..not being able to join me in the lotus !!

does anyone know where brooke are based ?
Brooke are based near Crediton in Devon.
Those of you who are making the annual pilgrimage to Le Mans will be able to see the Brooke demonstrator up close this year as the car is making the journey also, and not on the back of a trailer.

Where are the headlights? Do they pop up from under those flaps on the nose??
There are a couple of quarter-turn bolts on the nose - unscrew these and the headlights are lifted out and bolted into place. Kind of purposeful for a trackday - I usually turn up and take the carpets, roof and toolkit out of the car, dropping the headlights certainly beats that!

The car looks cool. A car just out of the days when sex was safe and racing was dangerous.
But this: "with a no compromise philosophy to excel on both road and track"
is BS. Wheter the car is a good streetcar or a good track car. You cant create a suspension setup that has superior handling and is comfy. Even if you are going for blast through your local hills you need a softer suspension setup than on a track. Especially for those ultraflat airfield tracks.
Another catch is the Quaife ATB. Why use a torsen type of differential in a car without compromises? Why not use a real diff that supports the car always in a suitable manner and not just locks up when you apply the power?
But maybe that just adds to the dangerous racing aspect of the car.

Imagine that if they put an fq400 engine in it!
I personally love it. Anyone know how close to replicating the shape of a modern F1 car you could get within the law? presumuably it would be the pointy parts which would be the problem.
An Atom with front and rear spoilers is fairly similar in shape, and pointy bits. Low volume cars don't have to contend with stuff like pedestrian safety so can get away with front spoilers that would simply chop a pedestrians feet off !
