from that Telegraph article...

telegraph said:
Colin McRae, the former world rally driving champion, is feared dead in a helicopter crash in Scotland.

The aircraft burst into flames after it came down in woodland near Lanark, at around 4.10pm, killing everyone on board.

Jean-Eric Freudiger, McRae's agent, last night told The Sunday Telegraph he had spoken to the driver's brother and that he had confirmed the former champion had been piloting the Squirrel aircraft.

Speaking from his home in Switzerland, Mr Freudiger said he was still in shock and fighting back tears as he said he could not reach Mr McRae's wife, Alison.

He added: "I have heard that it was his aircraft. He was in the helicopter. I cannot believe it was a helicopter pilot error because as my best friend and the godfather of my daughter I know he was a very safe pilot.

"We have been close business partners and friends for seven years. He is the best person I have ever met in my life. I have to try and understand what I have just been told."
His agent has pretty much confirmed it by the looks of things.

I'm like you though, still hoping that it's not true and will wait until official confirmation but it's not looking hopeful.

I am going to adopt an air of optimism until there is an official announcement, but someone has died up there RIP.

Oh no....it seems odd to say "I hope it's not him" because anyone dying (and we know 2 have) is a sad loss, but I still can't help but think "I hope it's not him". Sadly also of the opinion that, if it wasn't him then we would know that by now.

Colins latest business venture was helicopter dealing, there is a slim chance someone else could have been flying it, though I fear the worst.

Friend has just started a job on that rally buggy thing too & was to be living on the estate.

If it is the worst, RIP a legend

BBC say now:

"There are no survivors.

"It is not known how many people were on board at this time and there will be no formal identification of anyone on board this evening."
