It was a sunny Sunday just like today:

Lovely Alfa in the earlymorning sun.

Turbo Maserati looked tidy.

Perfect place to fuel up for the day.

The Fort Vuren is also a B&B. Rooms are in the fortress part, here on the rightside.

Wim and family enjoying a well earned brekkie: their home is a firm hours drive away.

Daddy Dink and his youngest pride: I like open cars!

. . . and french bre(a)d obviously. Next time the family goes along. The wifey regreted she didn't hoon with us . . .

Like I said a 1000 x: you don't have to be a carnutter to enjoy days like these.

More snaps . . .

Well, our quarter twelve cylinder car isn't THAT fast!wink The journey took us more than an hour and a half driving
All in all we drove 425 km that day. And there still was some go-juice left in the tank! cloud9

I still have a few snaps to post guys, do you mind?

"Say Alex, I'd really like to drop in the Alfa Spider to do the first few miles with you mate."
Thanks to two non-payments - WTF! they had the bloody terrace packed for 90 mins. - the whole posse left and my gift of the gob-talent saved me a few euro's but left me almost on my own at the dike's parking. Thanx to Andy and Anne I was allright in the backseat of the airconned - rub it in! - and spacy Skoda. Imagine!

Cord and Cobra personel enjoying the start of the day under the trees and with a tasty cappucino.

Fancy line-up.

First go-ers firing up. Time for me to go for the bill. I'm just to honest.

A view from the Superb: buzzy Cuore sorting our way out. Cheers Wim!
Those cyclist just saw the trafficjam of their life!

Noisy 4.2 on our tails. Andrew: "We never had a problem with the speedbumps."

Epic happening on one of the tightest dikes: Eric's Chim suddenly stopped and that gave non-motoring Springrunners quite a handsome lineup: lots of snapping going on there! Not all cyclist were that happy let alone the guy in the electromobil. He just sat there waiting to get on.

Cool Joop decided to go for a stroll.

hey Albert, 2 non payments? they signed you in, en then you payed and then they signed you out, so the 2 who did not payed must be unsigned so you could see who did not payed...and ask them about that? maybe the bugg man can pay you biggrin, your not a rich man! hope you can get your money back! good luck mate.

I was flagged up as a non-payer initially but was actually taking photos of the cars. When everyone else buggered off I was still snapping and chatting. Wim let me know they were waiting for the money though and I trotted off to pay. I'm not still on the master debtors list am I?

By the time I got back to the car park Wim was disappearing in a haze of tyre smoke hehe and there were four of us left! Albert put a brave face on it and hopped in the über barge [tm] and we cheesed it... Luckily some old codger in an electric buggy was holding up the traffic ahead and we caught up biggrin

Yet more nice photos Dink! As Wim rightly commented - wheelie bar? Respect is due to the Pension Massive methinkswink

:cough:

Thanx ironictwist. Tree growing out of the car thoughwink

OK, let's get on with it then:

Tante Loes parking after a f@ck up in the route description. The village of Buren: straightahead would've killed any car. Pretty busy lanes therewink time for us to programme the TomTom. We were cheating yes

. . . but not the first to arrive.

Ewouts glorious Lotus Elan +2S 130.

Plenty of tools in the boot but all was well during the run.
Now where would I stick another dial on that dash!?

This car has the same 1.6 twincam as the Europa: pumping out a healthy 125 brake in big valve setup.

Cloggy's red one.

Gandini couple: best photographed duo of our bunch for sure.

After a great lunch - what a place to rest BTW! a super lunch for decent money - Jan invited me in her Lamborghini: bounce

More . . . snaps of that orange one.

Jan's Diablo not only does sound and look the bits, it also goes! Not that we had much opportunity to go silly, most roads were easy and all about enjoying the variety of the Dutch landscape. The speedbumps were taken by surprise, the Diablo has a magic button: press and the beast will rise a few inches and drop automatically when over 20 mph. Smart!

Davids C6: a beast as well. More of this 575 Nm monster after The Gallery. I've sat in David Yu's Z06 L'felter and thought this is a great GT-package: boot, space and pace. You can cruise in perfect comfort and be brutal when needed: instantly! Great office . . .

Waiting for the small ferry after a noisy trafficjam through the petite artvillage Bronckhorst.
I like your shoes Andrew

Happy folk.

What happened to the green Griff? It dissapeared after The Gallery.

Our eldest of the pack: with the smart BiTurbo Maserati.

Cord rep was a looker, straight six aboard.

Speaking of lookers, the Diablo easily was the most-snapped car of the day. Jan: I get used to that.
We had a great time chittychatting and driving . . .

My gawd is it beautifull, the colour sure helps but didn't Gandini create a work of pure automotive art here?

I helped Jan getting the Diablo on the ferry: not a problem at all really. I want to see all those snaps taken herewink

Greetings from Holland.

Normally almost twice the load of cars taken . . . cyclist were a bit pissed.

John, ask your Brit fella's about this when you meet up with them. Next year it's going to be a not-to-miss-weekend. First weekend of May OK with everyone?

Schurink family tidy '77 911S, I love Pork up till somewhere mid 80s. Dutch Autobahn-Polizei hooned about in Targa's.

Valks '69 Giulia 1300Ti, I love that car. A KR-fav.

I missed Racke's absolutely stunning '60 2000 Touring Spider but hey: this 70s Spider is a beauty as well.

OMG I adore this baby. I PMed Ewout for a day out . . . It's been too long since I did a proper write-up.

Erics red rumble. Big thumbs up for the wheels. Did you guys check out his dash?

Cloggy's red rumble.

Harry brought the Vip for a quick peek. His shirt matches the Bug.

I heard 9K flying around somewhere. EB110 owner Joop brought a friend with a 360 Strad . . .

. . . and his dad rolled in something Germanwink

Top pics chap - keep 'em coming clap I only arrived in time to see the Merc and CS going the other way down the drive!

John - cannot believe you weren't there! Next year should be just as good though and there's always Paris and Spawink If it helps, I have just arrived home from collecting my car with freshly refurb'd wheels... Cheers for the compliment on the pics but I reckon I'm due to go on a course or ten before I get anywhere near a magazine biggrin

Yes folks, it's my fault the weather has turned squidgy. Clearly collecting refurbished wheels is the automotive equivalent of lighting a barbecue hehe

There. That's better.

It is true though. Immediately after waxing my car two weeks ago the skies opened. Proper deluge. And I kid you not, a few hundred yards down the road all was sunny and dry.
