That poor M5!

The silver Mondeo poster earlier on looks pretty cool though.

BMW 328 estate would make a nice pick-up

something like this

oooh nice. Or even better a 750 iL.

Two I thought were good were an old 4.2 Jag and a Rover SD1.

I won't go into the story of how this came about but I am in the situation where my new project car is going to be a car converted into a pickup.
I am looking for advice on which car to use for the project.
The choices I'm looking at so far are:
My Mondeo ST200
Mk4 Astra van
Mk1 Focus estate
Mk4 Golf estate

If anyone has any suggestions they will be gratefully recieved as I'm kind of lacking insperation at the moment.
Anything except the ones on the list confused
What would you suggest then?

that i like, if only i could justify the cost of another mundane and the work required i reckon my friend who runs a bodyshop would be up for building it

It does. thumbup

Years ago I had a dream where I drove a Ford Scorpio (the 'guppy' one) pickup, where the load bay came down to the level of the chrome strip across the back.

Since then, no cheese before bedtime for me.

I'd put a vote for a big merc or audi, I think that would be that bit more interesting, especially with a bit of an AMG or RS look to it!

After using search this seemed the best place for this.

Yes I know it's 6 years old.
Been driving past this regularly for ages.

+++Thread resurrection+++ (I'm sure there was a more recent one but cant find it.

I have a question and a dodgy MS Paint photo edit.

My question is, what would it take to do the following properly/legally and safely? How much bracing would I need or what other considerations would need to be considered?

Not thinking of doing it anytime soon but I think it looks quite cool!
