As a non-member and not owning an Aston Martin, I have to say AMOC's set-up of the classic racing at Silverstone yesterday was superb. The only thing missing was spectators!

Racing was great, large grids (as in 20+), great selection of cars (20's to a modern Le Mans racers), pit area open to everyone and a really friendly bunch only too happy to talk about their cars.....but like Pistonheads really.

If you can, well worth going to next year.

I went to one either last year or year before at donnington. I think it's on this year again at donnington in September.

We paid about £12 - £16 and was well worth it, some fantastic racing. There was a Ferrari series with 348s and other models, some sort of MG series, another one with a range of classics and some more recent cars and then the Aston martins. There were at least 6 races in total.

There were less than 30 cars in the spectators car park so you don't have to worry about not getting
a good view!

I think I've got some pictures somewhere if anyone is interested.

I suspect that although a well organised event, people who are familiar with British race tracks would probably rather go to a similar race meet at some where like Donnington or Brands Hatch. Spectating at Silverstone is poor in comparison.

Resurrection! I’ll be joining the club and can only hope the bunch are as good as the TVR group I’m migrating from after the demise of my cerbera. I’ve gone for the V8 Vantage in flappy paddle. I look forward to getting educated but 1st thing I’ll be doing is changing that eyesore of an aerial lol
