Calling all cars!
Discussion
Not sure if this is the best place to post this, but here goes:
I need some exotic cars to come and take part in a parade for our village carnival on JUNE 26th 2004.
It's a lovely rural spot (peak district) and there are some awesome pubs and driving roads around. (quite close to Chatsworth too)
We usually have all sorts of things from brass bands, falconry displays, wine tent (hic!) plants, coconut shy etc etc. All the usual country carnival stuff.
I'd really love to have some TVRs, Lotuses, Ferraris, Porches, Lambos and anything else that looks sexy, classic or modern for a display between 2.00pm and 4.30pm on the day.
Can't offer any inducements I'm afraid other than a lovely day out in a lovely setting. I can help find accomodation for people who want to come from far away.
Warning: You must be be prepared to have your pride and joy admired by strangers and to answer lots of questions.
Any takers PLEASE???????

Andy I don't have anything that you would want to exhibit...but just a thought, are you talking about just a static exhibition or a parade? I had a friend who used his car in a carnival procession (he got to take the carnival queen!) and a number of people chucked coins at it and knackered his paintwork - he wasn't a happy chap!
Whereabouts in the peak district?
It's not a bad run out for me from Huddersfield so if the date is free nearer the time and the sun is shining I may well be on for this
And as far as exotic/classic goes I would say anything that is gorgeous looking and f***ing fast, or very old/unusual.

I love this place! turn my back for an hour and get a wonderful response! thanks all of you.
Ok, to answer some questions.
Its in Dethick, between Matlock and Crich. It's lovely.
Hope you can make it Burriana.
Apache - hope you can make it. I REALLY want a peak under the bonnet of that Griff of yours.
Ferrari355GTB + Steve328 . Many thanks. Afew Ferraris would be greeeeaaat! I think I know where there is a bod locally who has an F40. Maybe I can persuade him along too!
WildfireS3 - Bring that TVR ! It can join my Wedge and the others with Pride
Exotic Vauxhalls? well VX220, Chevette HSR, Droopsnoot Firenza would all be just fine thanks!
Anything older or more way out or just loverly will be welcome. I may have a 1932 Rolls Royce coming, plus a Tuscan, a few Chims, the odd Porsche. There's even a Lanchester if the bloke who owns it can get it to run.
No fear on the coin flinging front. It's all VERY well behaved.
There's even a bod in the village who used to fly Vulcans.... He would usually manage a fly past at carnival time up to about 14 years ago. Imagine the site, english country carnival and a ferking great V bomber doing slow passes and low level manoueveres overhead!
Any more takers?
