All too often I find myself reminiscing cloud9 You would say if I became a little dull and repetitive about my time with it, wouldn't you?
It's not your love of the RS2 that grates, it's just that the car in the pic looks like my old one....and I still miss it!

Is "I miss my RS2" a new thread or a new club?

Maybe "I miss my old car" would have a more universal appeal.

"Yes, that's right, mate. Snow. I see it."

Instead of becoming the sad old boy alone with his memories, I've started the "Car you miss the most" thread.

laugh

Right... I'd say the majority of suggestions have been a bit mainstream - certainly for a bunch of petrol heads. Any oddball suggestions? smile

OK. smile The Alfa SZ.

Why?

- Chassis based on the 75 race car, developed by the man who made the integrale win everything in sight
- The classic 3.0 12v Arese V6 engine
- Rear-wheel-drive
- The way it handles
- The way it looks
- The way it sounds
- The way it handles, again

If you're one of the people who "doesn't get what all the fuss is about with Alfa" then you need to drive one of these.

edit - no, it always said "everything in sight". I guess people have changed it when they quoted, to make me look foolish. Or something.

Isn't Monteverdi the only swiss car manufacturer? You forgot to list the reasons you'd like one!

And that SZ cloud9

A classic car dealer I once worked for had one in for mere hours before it was shipped off somewhere exotic. ears

Weren't they just conversions?

AFAIK Monteverdi put together Italian coachwork with American V8's (Buick?).

Could be totally wrong of course!

Monteverdi made cars around Chrysler engines such as the really mid-engined Hai 450: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monteverdi_Hai_450

Chrysler engines were also used by Jensen, among others.
