Shame the original own skimped on the spec and missed out leather! Nice old barge but still overpriced.

I think the lowered look would work better with some more aggressive alloys, then at least it fits in with a recognised 'look'.

While I like it I'm with redstu, it's shocking how the price of 'junk' cars has risen in the UK. Scrappage I suppose.

Worth a monkey, no more.

I remember seeing one of these at GTI International in Black with gold BBS Split rims and the most outrageous Rear camber, i never wanted a car so much. It was driven by a dutch couple who had the interior retrimmed in tweed of all thinks but just looked cool. Love it !!!!!!!
So they had ruined it then?
LOL Strangely enough it may sound horrible but it really worked, the quality of the restoration was impeccable.

I'm not so sure, in my mind there is something very cool keeping period wheels with a retro larger walled tyre

Knock him down a couple of hundred quid and that looks like it could be a fun project for summer sunday afternoons

3 speed gearbox sounds like a laugh too!

Great shedding again this week!

Me too biggrin

Pretty cool luxo barge shed! Not the best looking BMW ever in my opinion, but it would certainly be cool to drive around in some yuppy 80s clothing and takes calls on your retro car phone!
+1.

Think I best head back over to Retro Rides before I get lynched . . . smile

I really, really want that.

If I wasn't stuck abroad at the moment, that would be my new car.

I love it.

The three speed auto was considered adequate at the time due to the engine being considered so torquey (by the standards of the day). Though I do believe that BMW changed to a four speed ZF auto box in late '83 early '84.

This was on ebay a few weeks back, and sold for something around the 5-600 quid mark, bargon.

But why is it still for sale on PH? Maybe another ebay time waster.

Lovely car.
