Or at the very least folded the rear seat down.
And how is that going to help performance ? the weight is still there????I will however make it handle better as the centre of gravity will be lower
Seriously ? i will try it on the Omega estate on the way back home today from france . Will i need to notify my insurance before doing this "mod"

Why would anyone care about a 1.25 anyway.
I always thought the 1.25 was a rather nice little engine.Pistonheads - small can be worthy, too

Just thought it was an excellent example of what you could do with a small engine if well designed. It punched well above its weight, IIRC. Wasn't it a Yamaha design?

I think it was much better than the 1.4 also in the range at the time. To be fair, all the Yamaha / Ford Zetec engines were pretty good. I absolutley loved the 1.6 they put in the Zetec S.Pistonheads - small can be worthy, too

not my car, and i really don't believe the guy, he said its tuned with all stock parts and nothing added or upgraded and he can do 0-60 in 8 seconds, somehow the stats dont stack up.
or prove me wrong and say it can be done, he is adamant it is that fast just tuned with stock parts.

It was a superb motor in a chassis that steered and handled very well indeed.
Miles better to drive than a comparable Corsa or Micra.
They should have stuffed that motor in the old Ka. That would have been a stonking little rollerskate.

I say this because I can't believe that anybody would put their own car through the brutality required to even get close to official figures.
