Regarding the BTCC days, at the end of their careers just before they wound it up, they were Team Crinckley Bottom racing - some tie up with Noel's house party. And they were referred to as the 'crumbles' due to their custard and rhubarb colour scheme - god thats just aged me...............

Found these on the web looks better in white than Mr Blobby colours
My old boss had a road car and it used to understeer terrible like especially in the wet but it was pretty quick. It later was sold and ended up with the number plate M1ATA as the kiddy worked at a Mazda Dealer.

I have owned tons of cars from the sublime to the ridiculous and last year traded in a hateful Hyundai for a Xedos 9 Miller. A bit above a grand but it is a really great car. Good looking, low riding, surprisingly economical for a supercharged V6, really relaxed for motorways and with serious mid range pick up to make overtaking a joy. It has no brand awareness and you can leave it in the worst places completely undisturbed. It never breaks down, I've done 30k in two years with minimal maintenance. A perfect cross over of cheapness, speed and comfort. The Xedos 6 looks a bit contrived and squashed to my eye but it is still a nice car and a seriously reliable bargain at this price.

Pardon????
Have you ever been in one? Probably not.

Have you ever driven one? Probably not.

Have you ever worked on one? Probably not.

So why question my comment which was made having lived with one for 40,000 miles that cost peanuts to buy and has the silkiness and ride quality (especially with the full leather interior) of something like a limo?

The engine is so quiet at idle you can barely tell it is running. You can do the 2p on its side test on the engine and it passes. Lets put it this way, it makes my identically aged E36 BMW feel like a bit of cheap Korean tat.

Please only comment from experience.

When they first came out I thought that they were a far better quality car than many of the competition and looked stunning because they were so unusual.

The build quality of Mazda cars has always been excellent especially in the 1990's.

In fact back then the Mazda dealer in Sheffield went under because they rarely used to get cars back under warranty.

Modern Mazdas are lovely cars but the Ford influence has seen a deterioration in longevity.

Not quite the correct colour do your own BTCC replica.

There's a Sheriff's car Xedos 9 on eBay.
