Still thinking about these cows... Apart from the fact that I'm sure they aren't thrilled about waking up facing up instead of down, I can't believe that they have to be put down either.
I've participated a handful of times in the "Running of the Bulls" in Pamplona, where 6 bulls and a handful of "bull escorts" run through damp, windy, narrow streets. Bulls show remarkable understeer in the wet and don't do very well at the curves. They tend to slide straight ahead, crash into barriers, and generally fall over themselves. They scramble to their feet, look even more p*ssed off than they previously did, and continue on their way.
I'm not aware of any bulls that had to be put down with a shotgun halfway through the run because they had fallen down...
(edited because I thought the hamburger thing was appropriate for this thread)

Cow tipping? Pah, if you want a real challenge try tipping a cat.

Anyone tried tipping the velvet?
Holy thread revival!
Thames Valley Police had to have a go at Cow Pushing with a patrol car last night, to euthanise a distressed but out of control cow on the streets of Reading last night.

Lots of arguments on the local Facebook group as to this being an OTT way of dealing with it, but it a cow running around a busy urban environment isn't really what you expect to see every day.
