All drivers have their funny 5 minutes / tantrums. Vettel is no different.

JB, MW et al don't seem to put the 'spoilt child' face on like he does, and they've had a lot more reason to do so.
Maybe if they did they would win more? hehe

wink

Saying that, what was JB like when things were going wrong last 6 races with brawn?
And MW when he gave away the title ?
They were much more mature about things, but as I said before Vettel acts like a spoilt child.

Not that I'm a big Schumacher fan, but applying the current scoring system to all F1 races since 1950, Alsono has not even gained 2/3 of his Points. (Alonso 2414 vs. Schumacher 3890)
Sure, but you ignore the car advantage Schumacher had.....

That was so boring and the endless talk about tyres is infuriating this year has been very poor due to red bull dominance and tyres made of jelly - it's not even worth watching ( I record them and fast forward to see if anything interesting happens).

What a load of rubbish simply not interested in tyre strategies or DRS assisted passes it's not racing it's not even entertains just a very expensive dull procession .
Vettel moved from 17th to 1st - that's not really a procession is it?

Tell me, when was F1 not a procession in your view?

Amen
It's a harmless celebration FFS. Were you offended also by Michael Schumacher's podium 'leaps'?

I didnt mind shumys leaps no. Not so keen on some of his on track antics though.

The finger implies that he is number one and its all down to him. Its all me i tell you, ALL ME!

However, i dont know the guy and i am willing to accept that i might have him wrong. Might.

Congratulations to Seb, a thoroughly deserved 4th title. He drove another blinder and is the real deal as far as I'm concerned. Quite what he has to do to convince some people is beyond me.

And that's coming from me, a stinking Hamilton fanboi!
According to many people on this thread he needs to leave the top team (and a good chance of further success) for a lesser team who aren't very good.

A bit like suggesting that the only way Messi can prove he's world class is to move to Crystal Palace.

+1
Which is just a big joke.... why would you leave the best ? If you want to win.

You knew him well did you? How unbeleivable crass of you to talk for him.

If you have ever read anything about Clark you would be pretty sure you had an idea of his character. By all accounts, he was a very shy and self effacing man who never truly understood the talent he possessed.

No, I never knew him personally but I have read quite a lot about him and I have seen and heard him being interviewed.

Is a person's opinion of someone null and void if they didn't know the person personally?

Too prove to everyone that you can win in non-newey car and build a team, not just ride a wave of success created by others.

"condoned Vettel's vulgar triumphalism" is using someone else of higher standing to put your own views across. No one but Clarke can speak for Clarke and it is "vulgar" to think that anyone can.

Hope to see a Adrian Newy autobiography book some day, listing the secrets to his cars success smile

It's a self-fulfilling prophecy too. If Vettel moved to Sauber or something would he keep winning races? I doubt it, but when was the last time Sauber won a race? The nay-sayers would say that this would prove he isn't as good as the hype suggests and that would be that.

Basically he can't win - if he stays at RBR then it'll always be the machine that's winning races for him, with him just playing Angry Birds or something on his phone while the car drives him around the circuit, and if he moves to a lesser team the chances are he would stop winning races. Affirming the consequent doesn't prove he isn't a world class driver.

Vettel is part of the wave of success not riding on it.

Your inability to get Jim Clark's surname right strike me as being rather vulgar.

People seem to forget that Newey was at RBR a good 3 years before Vettel came along, and in that time they didn't win the constructors or drivers titles.

Vettel must surely need a fresh challenge? What can keep motivating him if he stays at RB for another 1,2or3 seasons?

To beat Schummie's record. He wants at least 8 championship wins.
