Yes, the sport has gotten gradually worse over time. Another awful thing was the introduction of semi-automatic gearboxes. But I maintain that the introduction of engines that were clearly far worse for racing was the nail in the coffin.

I don't mind the powertrains or 1.6L V6 turbos more that it has put a KERS on vehicle dynamics with the added weight including the batteries. They now weigh about as much as a Group C car in period and contemporary F1 car would have been half a tonne.

Watching this last night got me thinking that this might be the worst set of new rules ever.

I'm reasonably ambivalent about engines (although better noise would be nice)

What bothers me is what really affects the racing - size and weight.

The cars are currently far too big and far too heavy.
