As a McLaren fan, I can't help but notice that Jenson won 126 points, Kevin 55.
Ferrari have 216 points and are in 4th place, McLaren 181 and are in 5th place.
It's a shame Kevin didn't get close to Jenson's haul.
He finished on the same number of points as Kimi though. Ferrari fans could have said the same thing if McLaren had edged it.Ferrari have 216 points and are in 4th place, McLaren 181 and are in 5th place.

Anyone else notice this:
12 laps to go Massa had a 12 second lead, Lewis was closing but not by much and the soft tyres had very low degradation this weekend.
Looking at their lap times I thought Massa had the race in the bag but then the team decide to pit him in for s/softs.
Bad team call?
Oh, and well done Lewis!

What's the significance of the 44 for Lewis? I missed that one.
His GP2 championship winning number I thinkIainT said:

I suspect that Mercedes will want #1 to adorn Lewis's car next season.
Lewis wants 44. What Lewis wants Lewis gets....From a Mercedes marketing perspective #1 on their car is probably a big thing.
Bit like how Lorenzo in MotoGP had a 1 made out of his initials.

I Lewis would never have been as graceful in defeat but that's one of the differences between them bothWhat nonsense..
Mid season all drivers will be focused on their game plan, once it's over the pressure valve are released, they can express their feelings, the game is over, the results are in!!
Sure Nico is unhappy, equally Lewis has reason to hold thought over Nico, but ?Lewis was very supportive towards Nico once the helmet was off, wasn't he?
Isn't that just what happens?

Likelyhood that Lewis would have congratulated Nico if he was champion? Probably less than zero.

To be fair, Nico has had an awful few months in terms of his PR. He has had the questionable incidents, he has been petty in the interviews leading up to this race, he has been a absolute arse to his race engineer on the radio (in qualifying and in the race). He had to start trying to rebuild the clean public image he had maintained until this year. This isn't Nico hate by the way, he has been very, very strong this year and is certainly a credible competitor to two times WDC Lewis. In my opinion, Nico needs to stop trying so hard to be clever and political, and focus on his (clearly excellent) driving.
