(I have tried emailing you via PH, but apparently I don't have access to the ph email system)
I don't know about doing it to screw it over but there will be some people who got carried away when bidding for a wing or engine cover. In the case of the two lots I've highlighted I suspect the bidder hasn't read the bit where it says your bid is for one, not for the lot, & the final total is multiplied up by the number of items. I suspect there will be a number of non-payers though especially as you didn't have to provide any bank or credit card details. I was logged in as Frank Williams.

Is that normal?I would've thought that the bid price should be for the lot number irrespective of how many items it includes. Seems a strange way of selling a load of old tat.

Ridiculous prices! Bidding way over cost of items new! Something fishy/bent going on here!?
The Samsung 40" TV's I was looking at in the timed auction were a prime example - 3-4 yrs old, with unknown use, etc. and once you add tax, etc. they went for as much, if not more than an equivalent new item.charlie7777 said:

Sounds like a few people decided to ruin their auction it could be a variety of people eg pissed of ex staff or ex suppliers owed a lot of money (and getting nothing back regardless of this sale).I don't recall there being any vetting of bidders I.e. no credit card verification, no deposit and no identification. You could easily create a disposable account and bid to your hearts content then abandon the account if you don't like the price.
Auctioneers only have themselves to blame in that situation

They still can't find my payment, or the invoice they sent me, It's ok, I'm only £1056 down at the moment.
Idiots.
We had that! In the end I sent one of the guys down with cash from the safe and phoned the bank to tell them it had gone astray and sort it. Idiots.
Very, very far from ideal but we've already alocated the hydraulic pumps we won to projects so not a lot of choice!
Maybe it was Haas bidding on all the factory equipment?
Seems they have bought the factory....

I was at the factory yesterday collecting my set of race wheels, it was chaos, we stood around for 30 mins waiting for someone, yet the doors were wide open and we could have loaded up anything , nobody even asked for proof of purchase., I just said I'd come to collect lot no 341 and away we went.
Very sad site seeing the whole site almost "looted", there were people just walking in and taking pictures off the wall.
Anybody know where I can get some tyres from for my nice alloys, they are beautiful, I'm so pleased with them, just want tyres now to finish them off. Wheels have 10/10 and 10/11 stamped on them, presume that's the size.
Cash waiting and willing to travel.
