Dear oh dear....McLaren's big comeback all going to pot already!! Can it get much worse?

Still, it was probably the best decision given Alonso sustained a fairly nasty concussion. How prepared will Magnussen be to race the MP4-30? He didn't exactly have a lot of track time in Barcelona

Naah - it's a concussion and they don't want to risk it happening again so soon. The only 'weird' part is why McLaren took so long to tell us he was knocked out.

Indeed, although the likelihood of Mclaren scoring points is so slim he may as well sit it out.
They will need a note from their mum's to get around the 107% quali rule.

So effectively suggesting not flying long haul flight to Australia. In case of a relapse during the flight?

Thanks, it wasn't on Beeb, Sky, Autosport or PlanetF1 when I replied.

Good job they still have Jenson. Who was their test driver last year?

Yes it was. I don't suggest you try it to see how much it hurts.

I thought the telemetry showed it was a 134MPH shunt, and that he'd taken the corner 'much' faster than he had on previous laps?
