Why didn't Williams cover Lewis with at least one of their cars?

I put a little bet on Seb to get a podium before the race, nice.

That was either a masterful call by Lewis or a terrible mistake.
Isn't it the team? That was who everyone blamed at Monaco.
Ultimately it's the driver's decision. Although, yes, often it is at the advice of their Engineer.

Anyway, regardless of who called it, it turned out well.

I had a little panic as it seemed a big risk.

Clearly was a great call though.

In an alternate universe, we are all currently discussing how Lewis threw it all away with his disastrous call. biggrin

How jammy is Vettel? He has been nowhere all weekend, not even as fast as Raikkonen..... finds himself about to score yet another podium due to pit stop timings. Have to feel for Massa/Bottas here.

To be fair, I think the it was the radio traffic that convinced everyone that Monaco was a bad team call (and the team admitted they were working on out of date data).... It was a tricky call though as it's likely that whatever Lewis did, the others would have done the opposite - probably one of the few situations where you'd rather not be in front at the start of that chain of events.
