For a village idiot he seems to be doing very well:

I saw the Brundle Dennis interview and when RD stated EJ was an idiot I got the feeling he meant it, so I don't entirely agree that it was a friendly jibe at all.

Kicking a bloke when he is down publicly is not a professional thing to do, and whilst EJ and Ron are lar1gely guilty of the same thing it doesn't reflect well for the sport.

It was a moment of poor behaviour that both should regret and perhaps apologise for. . . .but then, who said, "welcome to the shark club" (or similar) all those years ago ?

I wouldn't lob £32m at a Sunseeker.

Knowing f-all about boats (other than if it flies, floats or fks, rent it), where would you put £32,000,000 (looks more with 0's wink )

Dennis has never seemed to have much of a sense of humour, he is looking like a bit of a clown with his latest F1 car though, sad given the drivers he has.

To be fair, I prefer EJ to DC though maybe that's because we get small douses of EJ (mhmm acronyms...)

Ron did to EJ when Benetton snatched Schumacher from under his nose.

If I am not mistaken, EJ has bought a new boat from Sunseeker every year since the mid 80's, he is very much a brand ambassador for them. As for the cost he charters all his boats out so does earn a fair whack from owning them. He may be a bit of an ejit but he sure knows how to make money

I like Ron, EJ, and DC. Find it odd that so many are so quick to 'dislike' someone they see on the TV, none of which could really be described as nasty or evil etc...

I don't dislike Ron as he has never done anything to me, perhaps he is a real laugh but he never seems to come across that way.

I mainly dislike EJ because he's a bullst artist, and goes out of his way to be awkward to current team personnel. Why should a viewer respect him, when he's failing to show any respect to e.g Domenicalli, who presided over so much success (relative to EJ).

You can ask difficult questions in a far less crappy manner - see any interview from the Radio le Mans team with whoever just got beat, for example.

Having seen the build quality of the 'Jordan' units up at Silverstone Park, which apparently were all finished to his personal specification, I can say that Eddie is the idiot (and cheap skate). RD was right when he said that Eddie likes to just say things for the sake of it to generate self publicising headlines.

He's pretty shrewd when it comes to business. I believe (not 100% sure on this, so correct me if I'm wrong) he owned a fair bit of land around Silverstone, recently sold to the circuit for goodness knows how much money. He's certainly not a poor idiot for sure!

EJ originally blagged the boat from Sunseeker as part of the F1 sponsorship deal, but was too tight to ever fill it up. He was so epically tight that it's hard to believe he buys them now.

Someone got caught playing with the syrup on board but was certainly not sacked, maybe the mechanic story is not true.

A good friend worked there. Sadly no further scandals to report from Eddie's seafaring years.
