It is interesting, one big difference between WEC and F1 is the commentary. For WEC it is virtually always about "the car number". The drivers are somewhat anonymous in LMP1 - certainly compared with F1. You rarely get people talking about the drivers WAGS, or the 'tension' between drivers etc.
On that note I think John Hindy and Graham Goodwin do an excellent job on the WEC and Radio Le Mans commentary! They always know exactly what is going on in each class and make it really enjoyable to watch.

It's a good question but not easy to answer. I think in LMP1 they will all be paid factory drivers. In P2 it will be a mixture of people paying for the drive and then the pro's like Nick Tandy getting paid by the team (between £6k - £10k per race depending on the driver). GT drives I would imagine it's the same.

FIA / Todt admits making a mistake with the Le Mans / F1 clash due to a mix up on how long the F1 break needed to be. Frankly its pathetic, but hey, don't worry guys... As Autosport reports 'The only compensation Todt has been able to provide is the conclusion to each race will be at different times, with a three-hour time difference between Le Mans and Baku playing a part.' Great... Forget Baku, I will be tuned in to Le Mans.

I am actually not worried about not watching Baku, I am more disappointed that Hulk and potentially any other F1 driver can't drive in Le Mans. If I was Hulk I would skip Baku and do Le Mans. I am sure Force India would get more credit and coverage for allowing him to do this than making him do Baku.
