Very much so, I didn't mean that to sound derisive!

Hamilton has more or less had a perfect year and has done no more or less than what he needed to to stay ahead of a very fast team mate.

That said, I'm still looking forward to Ferrari and maybe others catching up car wise. It's not the fault of Hamilton he's in the best car and it's not as if it drove itself, but it doesn't make for a massively exciting drivers championship.
All derisiveness from me...

I like Hamilton, he is a great driver - and mentions Senna as his idol, it's the media I will tire of, rather than his racing.

Hamilton and Vettel is a bit like Hakkinen and Schumacher - two drivers at the top of their game. We just need the cars to be a bit closer and we will have some even better racing.

What's the betting that Hamilton has either a shocker of a race or a DNF?
That would ensure it comes down to the last race of the season again to decide the WDC...

You know what, I think you're right. I converted from US time, but didn't account for changing the clocks on Sunday morning. I'll update my first post. Thanks!

What's interesting is that he's not had either the fastest car (Massa) or the most reliable either (was Bottas)

How is Massa's the fastest? Genuinely interested as to what stat you are referring to?

Sure, it's usually Massa who's fastest in the speed traps over an average weekend. Probably take the wing off it

Ah yes, fast in a straight line, ok. Not a great deal of use. And he has undercapitalised on it.

It will be interesting to see the crowd numbers - an important statistic in such a huge untapped market for F1.

They were strong in year one, but interest seemed to decline last year. Also, the WEC race in Austin had a small turnout.

As far as I remember the MotoGP boys had a good turnout?

I understand a huge percentage of the crowd in the past two years have been Mexican...but they now have their own race.

Well, that will be interesting to see him scrap through the pack - be interesting to see if he can get back to second to ruin Lewis' 3rd WDC being wrapped up Sunday.

If it rains, Alonso and Button will be top 10.

Hope it rains! Why f1 races are the most entertaining.

I hear both Ferraris are due to pick up penalties for new engines now? Spoils the weekend somewhat given they are normally the only team with a hope of challenging Merc...
