My son has booked to go to the Abu Dhabi GP and is there for the week, for the race itself he has a seat in the grand stand.
I was just wondering if anyone has been, and possibly think there are better parts of the track to check out.
He is there all week for the event, pits, free practice, quali, and race, and will probably have a walk around any way.
I was just wondering on other peoples opinions, and experience, who have been before. I could possibly let him know of, thank you.

which grandstand? north is, for me, by far the best. i marshalled the last two GP's from the infield at turn 6. from the north stand you have a view from the crest of turn 3 right around until the cars disappear from view way down the main straight. there's also a pair of screens above turn 7 infield so you can see whats going on elsewhere.

other bonuses - there's a bar just behind north grandstand which is open for a few hours after the race so you can sit there until the concert starts. the du arena is directly opposite.

Having been to the race twice, not sure you can do much walking around as I don't think there is general path between the grandstands.

There's a hill? I'm genuinely astonished. There's a slight elevation change near T3, I think, but I don't recall a hill.

It is a truly dismal race track. The hotel looks pretty on the telly though, I suppose.
