Alfonso Celis

Whooooooooooooo?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfonso_Celis_Jr.

With a stellar record like that I'm sure he's destined for stardom. The champion in the 2011 Campeonato Turismos de Velocidad 1800cc no less, and a single solitary third place in GP3. Today he has managed to qualify in 14th place for the GP3 race in Bahrain, 1.4 seconds off pole.

He will do seven free practice sessions next year, and I'm sure he's entirely there on merit and not at all due to a massive bag of Mexican Pesos...

... and never more so than today. For good reason, it seems, with the easiest to drive F1 cars for an awful long time, why not take the money if your going to be in the mid field in any case.

This sounds bad but how can someone who has seemly never won a race be a development driver?

Alfonso isn't much better with only five wins in a very low formula...
