Recording songs and releasing albums sounds more than a hobby to me, woodturning/model plane flying/painting I class more as hobbies, while lewis was out celebrating in Grenada where do you think Nico was, while lewis was out partying with his gangster pop star mates where do you think nico was?
Sat at home looking at his second place trophy, perhaps? hehe.
Nico was back at the factory on the sim, a couple of contacts there tell me lewis is hardly ever there where as Nico virtually lives there

Admittedly yes but he's clearly committed and works his socks off in order to find that edge........maybe he already has? You can't hold down 2 high profile careers like lewis is trying, whilst your a racing driver, getting paid hundreds of millions over a single contract never mind personal sponsors then concentrate on racing and winning, singing and albums can come once he's retired. Seems to me he's got bored with F1, to not go to the autosport awards instead go to a basketball match, don't bite the hand that feeds you lewis!

He's not trying to be a full time singer now is he! It's something he's done in his spare time and he happens to know people that he can put a record out if he wants.

He's not going to turn round to Toto next year and say "sorry boss, can't make the Monaco GP as I've got a gig that weekend" now is he?

If Rosberg gets the better of him next year I wouldn't rule it out hehe

Hamilton hasn't won at Monaco for years and years, so he might as well do a gig at the town hall instead biglaugh

I see that he came a distant fifth in the BBC's Sports Personality Of The Year. Which of course he won last year.

Where do you see Lewis in 10 years?

Global superstar? Celebrity Jungle? Bankrupt? Maybe switching on Stevenage Christmas lights?

Would he even show up to BBC SPOTY?! Probably not.
I think he would. Not sure he has much time for the "inward gazing" awards like Autosport but I think he loves the British public and they are generally positive to him...
So he didn't show up then....he wasn't that bothered about it and that for me is poor class.

Totally agree, wouldn't surprise me if in the future and not just because of the snubs but his general attitude fans will slowly cool on him, much like red bull losing fans because of their constant whining.

I think from what I remember lewis was never like this when his dad was his manager, think that's part of the problem, probably lost a bit of direction because of it

I lost respect for him when he decided to go to Canada to watch a basketball game and get photographed there then attend the Autosport awards.
Sadly 100% ditto! Irrespective of his personal position. As F1 champ its an unwritten obligation to be an ambassador and inspire & pay respect in equal measures.

Give Martin Brundle's twitter comments on this I'm looking forward to an interview next season (if there is one...)

Sadly Lewis appears like too much of a plastic tabloid persona than a person nowadays...

Yup, and I was surprised. Shame.

Still it's his life and that he wasn't top 3 despite being a 3x WDC says a lot, I guess.

Explains things like what?

Sounds like you are getting ready to make excuses on his behalf!

I Don't recall him mentioning it before so don't really see that its relevant to him or his racing career.
