F1 on Channel 4

The way Ben Edwards says ‘Leclerc’ by missing out the end ‘c’ really really annoys me. He really over-exaggerates (the lack of it). Am I alone? I know it might be the right way to say it and as a language-poor Brit I would want to pronounce the ‘c’ at the end of his name, probably incorrectly.
But it still fks me off.
Personally I get annoyed by people who don't pronounce words correctly. So I have not problem with Edwards as a commentator. If you were doing it on the other hand... But it still fks me off.
I got lumbered with having to watch the C4 coverage this weekend as my usual Sky Sports F1 feed wasn't functioning....
How does anyone cope with every race with this coverage. The only decent thing about it is DC - pair him with Brundle on Sky and I'd probably pay for it.
The main guy on 4 doesn't even seem to know which car is which, he got it wrong so often.
I like Mark Weber for a soundbite but as a commentator he's awful and whilst the chap in the pits at the end was OK, the original format Ted's notebook did that style of presenting far better.
Hopefully Sky F1 will work for me for the next race otherwise I think I might just go for BBC text commentary or something, can't be any worse than C4s offering.

Hate to break it to you but I am a Sky subscriber and C4 is better on the whole apart from the fact they don't have the whole race. I find C4's colour commentator Ben Edwards very annoying a lot of the time but he is at least correct much of the time. Sky's, 'Crofty', is not only every bit as annoying to listen to, he is also incompetent. How does anyone cope with every race with this coverage. Meh, I prefer the C4 coverage and if I could I would pay to have full races covered by Whisper. How does anyone cope with every race with this coverage. The only decent thing about it is DC - pair him with Brundle on Sky and I'd probably pay for it.

Crofty gets the names wrong all the time so that's a weird point to make.
Also the C4 guys actually have some chemistry, as opposed to just having 10 ex drivers standing around awkwardly.

Give a watch if you have time.
ANy feedback greatly appreciated.
Not the best race to speak to! But intriguing in parts, nevertheless, especially considering the vettel comeback story and the ensuing dynamic between the two ferrari drivers
Thank!!!
Who on earth has 40 mins to spend watching someone else watch an F1 race?! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X98nRQQyNig

My generation was the reality TV generation. We watched people do stuff. It got old pretty quickly.
The logical next step was watching other people watching other people do stuff. Watching other people watching other people do stuff has been a growing trend for some years, particularly on YouTube where quite a few 'influencers' have made their millions by watching other people do stuff and then talking about it.
Some hopefuls want to achieve the same success for themselves. You can't blame them, making millions by recording oneself watching people do stuff without producing any original content whatsoever with startup costs of practically nothing is a tantalizing prospect.

I'm with you. I got a sports pass for Now TV for the Ashes and so got back I to watching F1 on Sky for the first time this year having watched the rest of the season on Ch4.
Gosh, the Sky coverage is really quite crap. It seems lazy, facile and is just long for the sake of it, rather than using the time usefully. It feels as if they just go through the motions rather than really care about it. Even Brundle comes across as being bored with the whole thing.
The Ch4 coverage is much better even if you get frustrated with only seeing a small amount of the actual race, but as that appears to be Sky's fault, then you can't blame Ch4 for that.
I have to agree - Sky do seem to struggle to fill the airtime in a meaningful manner. I much prefer Channel 4's pitlane/paddock stuff. An example would be Sky's interview with Alexander Albon versus Channel 4's interview with Riccardio - both were lighthearted pieces but the Sky one was utterly facile and almost embarrassing to watch.Gosh, the Sky coverage is really quite crap.

Yes, I hate things being pronounced properly.

C4 have an hour of ‘filler’ and an hour of race. Typically 3 add breaks during the actual race.
I actually enjoy the "filler" and except on the very rare occasion an hour of the race is more than enough time to cover the key incidents. I thought I would miss watching the races live but I don't and the C4 highlights is enough for me. I appreciate I may be in the minority.Towards the end of the show the ad frequency and length picked up. He couldn't tell me by how much as he had to go to bed.
I don't mind getting F1 'for free' but what pisses me off is people walking round ocvered in paid advertising, racing round a circuit with billboards that often cover the action up and having to endure the various F1 partners adverts. With a half dull set of hilights I rarely bother watching it.

I keep having a vision of Charles popping-up in disguise and saying
“Allo - ‘tis I, LeClerc”

Has anyone made a reaction video to someone else's reaction video yet, or would they disappear down an infinite tunnel if they tried?
It's been done. There are many videos on YouTube which are reactions to reaction videos.Apparently there were a couple of episodes of Gogglebox which filmed people watching Gogglebox but as I don't watch the one level Gogglebox let alone double I don't know how true that is.

for the Steve Jones bedtime story Jackanory intro tonight, and the interview with Ricciardo.
I thought that was simply the most cringeworthy piece he’d done to camera for a long time. What on earth did that add to the scene except an over indulgence on his behalf.
Sincerely,

Ricciardo had a chance to underline his perceived class by coming through to a good finishing position.
But no, a rash move too far and he puts paid to that.
Not actually a top echelon driver IMHO.
Wow, 2/3 good moves 5/6 bad moves.. But no, a rash move too far and he puts paid to that.
Not actually a top echelon driver IMHO.
Nico H was last on the first lap (apart from Carlos who was a lap behind by lap 3)..
Now where did both of these guys finish on regards to Dani Ricc?
