He’s worse in real life. Met him before his f1 job. He was at a pub near to the arsenal stadium. He felt it ok to muscle in on my girlfriend. She smiled and gave him short shrift.
Did she get his number ?

I can imagine Steve Jones trying to hit on someone else’s girlfriend. I’m sure we all know a sleazeball who tries to use his position to “impress” females. Fortunately most people see through it and aren’t impressed.

So do I, I like him. Would much rather listen to him or Lee McKenzie than Ariana 'I. Put. A. Full. Stop. After. Every. Word.' Bravo.

I think Lee is a very good presenter and interviewer. She asks good questions and the subject of her interview always seems to take her seriously.
DC is the professional and Mark Webber is similar. Possibly their racing backgrounds help here.
Billy and Alice are getting better after shaky starts. Billy grew up with some of the younger drivers in the lower formula so probably has respect from them particularly with his reinvention. Long term he will probably be a good presenter and pundit.
I listen to all of the above and they give me the facts that I want to accompany my viewing of the highlights without stupid comments. Probably growing up with Murray and James as presenters of F1 set the standards of what I wanted despite Murray’s occasional bloomers.

I’d agree with that summary.
And, I don’t mind occasional ‘mistakes’ - Murray was well known for them, and we loved him.

With hindsight yes but at the time Murray did get a lot of criticism, despite it bei g before the social media age.

Very pleased to see Lee, DC and Billy as presenters this weekend. Sensible conversation and interviewing from professionals who know what they are talking about.
DC has won many races in various formulas, Billy has even won a F3 race at street circuit Pau after losing his legs in a racing accident ( who knows how far he’d have progressed without the accident) and Lee has been interviewing F1 drivers for years.

Long may they continue.

Sky are head and shoulders the worst but every interview of an F1 driver goes on long after they have kicked the arse out of the point thus rendering it an exercise in tedium.
What are they expecting? to eventually force a confession to a murder?

Just watched the highlights and any driver coming from the back of the grid was given great praise, never heard Hamiltons name (was listening more than watching) so glanced at the position indicator to see where he was “7th” and not a mention.

I really like Ch4 F1 programme. But fking hell Alex fking Jacques continually talking about the “head-to-head” of Hamilton and Russell is doing my head in. Shut up you dhead. Every single fking qualifying lap that either of them does.

The Senna lap was brilliant. The video quality may not have been anything as good as today, but that added to the drama. Having to work harder and change gear taking a hand off the wheel.

I'm not sure if they've done that lap, but there are a few 60fps HD 'remaster' videos of old F1 laps, I'm sure there's one of Senna at Monaco.

I know Channel 4 are only dealt scraps but the programme is truly awful. The fact they’ve been playing some utterly cringeworthy piece about Max that took up more airtime than the race raises a lot of questions. How many ad breaks did we have to put up today.

It’s time for a reboot.

Well, they had to fill the airtime with something. When they've only got half a race, and can't even show all of that because it's only 'highlights', of course you're going to get 90 minutes of filler in a two hour show.

On the plus side, at least it's not Sky and their pack of morons constantly trying to argue the impossible and stir something up out of nothing.

Yeah I never watch any of that crap where they try and build it up like it’s a fking gladiator event. Or the fawning interviews.
