I was trying to identify the car last night when I saw this. To me it looks like a Red Bull from the height of the blown floor days with that massive hot air duct. Maybe an RB7 or RB8?

There's this video too https://twitter.com/f1broadcasting/status/70334749...

Going by the big oval cooling exit at the back, and the camera pods on the nose tip, I think it's an RB7. The RB8 had the stepped nose.

James Allen to Channel4?

Judging by this video http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/35722417 and 5live show http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b071x68v Jack Nichols seems to be their lead commentator for radio.

Maybe, maybe not. James Allen tended to be referred to as "F1 Correspondent" and, like EJ on the telly, seemed to work on a part-time basis.

His website still says: "He is currently the F1 correspondent for BBC Radio 5 Live and is the network’s lead F1 commentator."

The @C4F1 team? @therealdcf1 @benedwardstv @Susie_Wolff @SteveJones @LeeMcKenzieTV @karunchandhok (@F1Racing_mag).

Grand Prix Diary on Twitter about an hour ago said that F1 Racing mag had an article about C4 coverage and the team was:

DC, Ben Edwards, Susie Wolff, Steve Jones (no idea who he is), Lee McKenzie and Karun Chandhok.

If it's true I don't know why C4 haven't released the info yet and why F1 mag has.

But it seems like a good line up to me, Karun's knowledge it amazing.

Karun's a real gent in person too. Exactly as you see him on TV. Sensible lineup with Steve anchoring it I guess?

I was under the impression that Lee was not going across. Drat, i was hoping someone else would be brought in for lead commentary; Ben Edwards have proven himself to be pretty hopeless doing F1. You can make a drinking game out of how many times he says "interesting" or some awed "awwhhh" sound.
Susie Wolff might make a decent replacement for Lee, she'll be able to get inside info from both Williams and Mercedes due to her connections. Chandhok is a nice guy, i wouldn't be disappointed with any role he has. Never heard of the other guy.
No Tom Clarkson this year? He was developing well from a shaky start a few years back.

Hmm, Steve Jones always looks very smug about being Steve Jones but, if he has a genuine interest in F1, maybe his "I'm better than this and cleverer than everyone watching" aura will evaporate. (not that I've ever seem more than 5 minutes of anything he's done before)

Please, not Ben Edwards. I grew quite tired of his shouty moments when doing the BBC commentary.

Never heard of Steve Jones. Will of course give him a chance, but his credentials don't fill me with too much hope. smile

Karun seems a good shout.

So many peoples...

It won't be everybody at every race though, I mean, having lots of people all in the same programme would be silly...

It's probably pretty similar to the number of people on the Sky team.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sky_Sports_F1

That lists out those involved. 17 involved in some capacity or another.

hehe Immediately what sprung to mind! Following the BBC lead. Ha!

All the racing drivers are good additions, especially Maaaark and Karun. Ben needs to calm down a bit, then it will be most enjoyable.
