Bound to be some WEC and F1 races that clash and I think Mark is doing the full season with Porsche so he won't be at every race.

With MW and DC won't it just be a RedBull Racing hard on fest?! wink

A bit excessive. How are they going to accommodate them all?
Pleased Lee's chosen to move across, disappointed Ben has too. Do they need so many ex-drivers?

I'd love to know what roles Susie Wolff, Bruno Senna, Alain Prost and the bloke second from left will fulfill. I guess Murray Walker wanted to be involved, otherwise he wouldn't be there. And EJ's doing Top Gear AND C4F1?
A team of 12 where a team of 6 would have been enough, unless they're planning a lot of F1-related extra shows for between races.

Prost talking about driver dynamics at Merc will be fascinating to hear.

Palmer, Chandock, DC and Webber, not bad.. Along with Prost (doesn't have his own team yet then!)...

Jesus, it's like Ben Hur!

When I was a lad (and Alan Jones and Piquet were fighting for the title) we had Murray Walker and James Hunt speaking down a telephone line - and it was perfect. Sometimes less is more.

Steve Jones is an interesting choice for lead presenter, didn't see that coming, I thought Lee McKenzie might get the gig.

I think he might do quite well a la Jake Humphrey, although we'll have to be kind to him for 3-6 months (maybe less) while he gets to grip with it.

It is a lot...I have to say though as individuals I think they all fit the bill - so long as they are deployed intelligently.

Bruno and Alain is a cute pairing on the end.

Karun really knows his history - a proper true blue enthusiast of the sport.

Absolutely, always takes a little while to build relationships in the paddock etc.

Karun is probably the one I'm most pleased about, that guy really knows his stuff.

Comes across as a really nice guy, a shame his F1 driving career was so short lived.

I would imagine Mark/Bruno/Karun/Alain will share duties on the technical things/side features from time to time, whilst Ben, David, Lee, EJ and Steve do the routine, week-in week-out presenting bit.

It's a good line up; happy to see Lee move over, although I understand from her Twitter she is still involved in a lot of BBC sport stuff also.

It's probably pretty similar to the number of people on the Sky team.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sky_Sports_F1

That lists out those involved. 17 involved in some capacity or another.
But the calibre is somewhat better

I like the line up and I'll give Steve Jones time to grow into the role.

Is that Nicolas Hamilton? He's not on the Channel 4 website presenter bio page but is in the photos?

I like the new C4 team, and it's good they have a large variety of presenters.

It's obvious they are hoping to steal Sky viewers to boost their ratings and advertising revenue, as it's very much a Sky like team.

I like that team, only question mark is on Steve Jones hopefully he won't present it like he was back on T4.

Looks a good line up, unsure on Steve Jones though. He has said he has watched every qualifying and race from last season, christ not even prisoners of war go though that pain...

Only one I am saying an outright no to is Nicolas Hamilton, don't see what he will bring to the table at all.

Steve Jones is a risk - but so was Jake Humphrey and that worked out
