Is there much to the (old) rumours theres still a dialogue between fez and Aldo Costa? Must be tempting for him; get it right and be an italian national hero.

Might spark a technical staff mini silly season.

Thinking about it I read Hockenheim as Italy (I got up very early) He's probably just going to watch the race

Ross Brawn was also spotted going into the Post Office by someone the other day.

Perhaps Theresa May is going to hire Ross to sort out their problems too. smile

It is true though that RB is attending the race. As a guest of whom, I don't know.

Bob Bell is back at Enstone now. He and Allison go way back. Enstone has a very attractive way of operating which will suit him well, I feel. I'd be very surprised if his contract with Ferrari doesn't have a clause that prevents him from working for another team for a specified period of time...

Would someone like him have become a millionaire through f1? Just wondering if people like that can afford to give it all up.

I met James when he was at Lotus. Very open, friendly and chatty about drivers etc. He may be a bit more guarded now after the Ferrari experience. He seemed very happy and settled at Lotus.

Easily, top engineers have salaries in the £500k+ range with points bonuses with the big teams. With Sauber or the former Lotus they get a packet of jelly babies.

Allison already linked with McLaren http://www.thisisf1.com/2016/07/28/james-allison-l...

Brawn was off to a Schumacher Foundation event and returned to the UK on the same day, nothing to do with a potential return.

Very much doubt Brawn would return to Ferrari, been there and done that.

The role he should have been given is coming up with tech F1 rule book!

The news leaking out today from Italy appears to be that he fell out with the big bosses and is taking the fall for the team not performing well this year.

Whatever you do James, don't get the documents photocopied in a bloody copy shop before you send them to Ron.

Andrew Benson mentioned it on the BBC website, and completely failed to make any reference to the rather savage change in personal circumstances the poor man suffered this year.
