He's a triple champion, they aren't. I also refer you to 4 times champion Vettel when asked the same at RB his reply was 'tough'.
Well perhaps it is about time Bottas, Rosberg etc. does the same.
Don't Rate Bottas ..............and his comment " of course I would move over for Lewis , if asked to do so " smacks of the McLaren Prost Era before Senna joined , remember John Watson interviewing Senna ...Senna said how was Prost as a team mate .." Watson said , well Prost is the number 1 driver so take your time ,
Sennas reply " No I am going to blow him away "

similary it appears Bottas has taken the John Watson view ...early days but Bottas is no Rosberg , I predict we will not see wheel 2 wheel combat , bottas will drive for the points and pick up any scraps left by Hamilton ....after accidents / retirements , his mind for a racing driver is a bit strange .....definitely a " number 2 " total waste of a seat
Don't forget that we're in an era where PR is king. Also Bottas is a nice bloke whereas Senna was a dick.
Senna and Hamilton are very similar racers ..............same can be said of Max .............Alonso is turning into a Mansell , gutsy never give up drives wringing a useless chassis up the grid ...........Vettel like an old version of Schuey
To be fair to Botas, he's new to the team and must realise that (as Mercedes surely do) this year they have a real fight on their hands for the constructors. So to go wheel to wheel with your team mate and risk taking each other out as in previous years would be too much of a risk.

Kinda funny and it shows Lewis etc in a good light. Vettel is best when he's happiest.

Knowing the media he'll have said something justifiably along the lines of 'growing up in the sport is hard on you socually'. Which is a comment to make. Yet the mail makes it out as though he's a spoilt lottery winner.

Fact: it might rain this winter
The media reports it as: the worse winter in a century is coming our way and gas bills will sky rocket to their highest levels.

Seriously. I mean seriously!!!???

You've no doubt seen Lewis interviewed on TV, no way that is in context or how he said.

I don't believe you really believe that article, the slant put on it... Do you?

A guy loving the battle with Vettel, looking forward to more.... And he's going to bh about how hard it was, what he missed out on coming up....

No doubt he said it but not how they've pitched it in the article.

I gave up on that article at the following sentence:

'Lewis is currently vying for his fourth World Championship title, having stormed to the finish line at the Spanish Grand Prix over the weekend with Mercedes.'

hehe

One good race and now he's Muhammad Ali and Pablo Picasso rolled into one, the greatest of all time ahead of Senna and Fangio, and it's all down to him.

And if you read the sun for their "quality journalism" thats the exact sort of st that you'll end up believing...

Does make me giggle how you and ELUSIVEJIM amongst a few others have spent the best part of a year on this thread bringing up every piece of dirty journalism on Lewis, rather than listening to what he says, in full context or from an original source just so you can persuade the rest of us that he's a naughty little boy.

Sad really, think you'd have better things to do with your time.

Why not shed a good light onto the drivers that you support rather than picking holes into a driver that you dislike by using toilet paper media companies

I really dislike Hamilton's media personality but that seems like a pretty poor swipe at him.

I think he makes a fair comment about racing robbing him of his childhood. Sure, it's given him bags of cash but so what? I think it's pretty legit to regret not having had a 'normal' childhood.

As I say, I dislike the guy but that's pretty pathetic IMO.

I think there's something wrong with my browser. The headline says slammed but it's not in the text I saw.

What a load of rubbish that article is. Worthy of the paper.

I've read and heard swimmers saying the same thing. They need to commit and they lose childhood friends.

I'm a fan of his driving but I think he's a narcissistic prat, as he ably demonstrated in that interview; and if you don't like it so what.
If you read, and believe what the sun reports without any context or the full interview then you are the prat!!!!

You see narsasisitc I see keeping your sponsors and PR team happy...yes he enjoys the whole fashion side of things but so what! We all have interests. The rest is keeping his fans happy by having a media presence and keeping his sponsors happy though product placement in photos, media appearances and social media.

If you ever actually bother to read or listen to his interview in full from the original source rather than sensationalised toilet paper media outlets who are just trying to sell a story then you would realise that.

So To summarise that interview

1) he wants to be the best...which f1 driver doesn't strive for that

2) he's catholic and his faith is important to him

3) he says he's very lucky to be where he is

4) he wants to live life to the maximum

I'm not sure what planet you're living on but I don't see how that interview proves how he is a prat or narsasistic!!??

Lewis this afternoon (i guess after he saw the pisspoor reporting in the paper)

"The racing world has never robbed me of life. It has given me a life of which I am truly grateful. As a kid however, it was tough but...Its normal for anyone growing up to perform at the top. I hope parents today, remember to keep it fun with their kids whatever the sport."
