PC gone mad it is not.
There is nothing to think about. They were Hamilton fans who were from Jamaica. PC gone mad it is not.
Paranoia now makes sense.

My wife's from the far East. If I overheard someone say 'you must know them' i'd be upset. If my wife was a public person at an event and a presenter asked if her friends had come I'd be quite strong in my response.
Why is it hard for some people to understand somethings arent on or is 'public property' mean casual or overtly open racism fine?
Are some people on PH real or children
If you think Herbert is a racist then you clearly need to see someone for some help. Why is it hard for some people to understand somethings arent on or is 'public property' mean casual or overtly open racism fine?

The guy is a Sky TV Hamilton fan.

If his only foray in to our lives was when he was driving a car then that's all he'd get called up on.
He sticks images out in the public domain where he looks a bit of a berk, then he'll get called up on that to.
He stops posting daft photos of himself, he'll most likely stop attracting critiscism for it.
You do know you don't have to look at the photos don't you?He sticks images out in the public domain where he looks a bit of a berk, then he'll get called up on that to.

Thought he behaved impeccably today and was spot on the money with his analysis of the incident.
I haven't a clue what he gets up to outside of F1 but it seems to really upset some people that a young successful man has found a life outside of his sport.
He is I understand the most important driver to F1's world wide appeal.

Thought it ironic today that if he'd not played such silly buggers on the restart, get L's wind wouldn't have been all over the track. There'd have been no red, and he'd have won with vettel 2nd.
What are you talking about? As has been proven, LH did nothing wrong, SV did. The SC periods were idiotic, should have been VSCs. IMHO the 'make it good for spectators' went too far yesterday and cost us the 'sport' side of it.As for Vettel, it should have been an instant disqualification, that type of behaviour has no place in society, and certainly not on the race track.

how do you know there were there specifically for hamilton ?
are you saying Jamaicans can only be interested if they support hamilton ?
there are alot of casually racist assumptions flying about there

Hamilton has quite the fanbase in Jamaica. I expect any travelling fans would have made themselves and their allegiance known in the same way Brit fans scrawl his name over the Union Jack.
The Jamaican love is reciprocated.
so any Jamaican at a race track is there for hamilton and nobody else, for no other reason? ... really? The Jamaican love is reciprocated.
From the way it was said, I'd guess he'd seen or spoken to some Jamaican people with some clear Hamilton merchandise on.
Rather than... seen black people in the crowd, must be hamiltons 'friends'.
Rather seems to be jumping on wording and spinning it around to mean try and make it into something else.

When challenged by lewis.. he didn't say that though did he. he didn't have a good solid reasonable reply at all.Rather than... seen black people in the crowd, must be hamiltons 'friends'.

There is a lot being made of this Herbert / Hamilton 'racist' incident, The problem is we can't see what they could see from the parade truck at that moment so there's no point arguing the finer points of it. Slightly clumsy by perennial gobste Herbert but I don't think it's evidence of racism, for all we know the parade truck could've just gone past a huge group of Jamaican Hamilton fans brandishing gigantic Jamaica flags with 'Hamilton' printed across them etc.

when you live your entire life hearing backhanded racist comments that are "ment well" or otherwise. you know when you hear it.whether the person saying it believes their being racist or not.
its normally the "i have a black friend so im not racist" crowd

Depends. If they have Vettle written on their flags, foreheads and t-shirts I'd probably make a different guess where their focus might be. I could be wrong of course and just a complete Alf Garnett racist thinking that they like the German and they're actually looking forward to seeing Massa. However, the group Herbert was on about are known to Hamilton - although not close personal friends, they appeared to be a collection of fans Hamilton recognises from their continued travelling support.
fk me there are some people desperately trying to be offended on here.

When asked by Hamilton he says 'they are here supporting you so they are your friends'
I don't think he means pop down the pub literal friends... but simply supporters so 'friends' of him.
I may be wrong, but I think Ham does have a fair bit of support in Jamaica. I'm sure he has a family relative from there and he has instatwitted stuff about loving it there etc.
Anyway... I don't really see how Herbert's comments have kicked off a racist argument.

So would he use this if the fans were white in Merc kit or say I see you brought your fans with you? Err they're here every race.Rather than... seen black people in the crowd, must be hamiltons 'friends'.

Just seems like a really thick and casual racist thing to say. Grow up in a mixed area and you'll spot this straight away
