The FIA Hall of Fame ceremony:

A notable absentee. Either:

A/ He wasn't invited

B/ He couldn't be bothered

You forgot C and D:

C) Had commitments elsewhere

D) Was somewhere the other side of the world at the time

What about Kimi R, no mention of him being absent?

Think he was busy attending a soiree with Mika & Jenson ...might have been at Keke's house

I don't get criticism of Hamilton in regard to not coming to London Live / FIA hall of fame thingy. If your boss asks you to do extra work outside of hours, probably at short notice, probably when you've already got plans with family and friends elsewhere in the world, which you are not contractually obliged to do, surely you are within your rights to say "actually no, I have already made plans"?
Consider also that Mercedes are currently paying Hamilton by the hundred million so presumably they're satisfied that he's fulfilling his obligations.

So Lewis is the driver that team principals rate the highest. Some here probably think that this it is just some PC positive discrimation.

But behind Lewis and Max, it becomes more interesting. VB’s value has gone down, but Ocon clearly has a very bright future. CS overtakes NH and has suddenly made his star ascend.

Rosberg isn't the reigning champion.

He was never the champion; that was Hamilton’s title and everyone knows it.

It is interesting that in an anonymous vote from 10 team principles that Hamilton has been no 1 for four straight years. These are the most influential and clued up people in all of motor racing when it comes to something like that. As a Lewis fan I am delighted to see it, and more and more amused by the occasional comments one still sees on here and various F1 fora that say Hamiton is 'nothing special'.

The poll is done in such a way that the votes are all cast anonymously.
