This was 100% set up. He goes to Disney Land with his nephew "who is dressed in a princess dress" to show he is fine being in public with a boy wearing a princess dress.I think it would have been better just letting it lie rather than this publicity stunt.

Yep, I thought exactly the same when I saw the article earlier on today.I think it would have been better just letting it lie rather than this publicity stunt

The rest of the photo commits even more fashion 'faux pas' if you've seen it?! I really hope he's trolling the paps and not serious about his latest 'look'
Fair play to him either way, I'm certainly no fashion expert myself.

I only find out about his social media stuff, things he's done like above, from this thread... and I think he's ok, he's made mistakes, gets it's wrong. We all do. I'd expect those who don't like him not to have a clue about his social media out, after all, why would they be interested. Yet, they are the ones reposting his tweets and posts to bolster their own arguments. Strange.

This sort of thing is what seems to bother his detractors and don't see why... of course I get that he posts stuff so he's up there for comment/ridicule, whatever but... On his own time, rocks a new look blah blah, does it really matter? As long as he's doing it when the lights go out on the grid in Oz to the last race and what he has to say about F1 that's really all I'm bothered about.

It appears on the news feeds of most sites hence why people see it.. It certainly is not the case of looking up his social media outlets.I only find out about his social media stuff, things he's done like above, from this thread... and I think he's ok, he's made mistakes, gets it's wrong. It might be refreshing to hear and see a driver with no filters but when it comes to Lewis it is clear he needs some PR people and quickly.
He is his own worst enemy.

No thanks, enough PR bullst on the grid as it is. Verstappen has come out with some controversial stuff. Vettel comes out with some great stuff when the mask slips. Most of the other drivers are far too anonymous. The difference is people seem to wait with bated breath for Hamilton to say something controversial then latch onto it.
ETA: Case in point; everybody quickly forgot that Verstappen called a steward an 'idiot', and a 'retard' in the aftermath of the US grand prix. Can you imagine the critical reception if Hamilton had done the same thing?

Fixed that for you The difference is people seem to wait with bated breath for Hamilton to say something
As for more PR in F1.... Jim, are you mad? We want less of that, thank you very much. Less BS is always better.

Verstappen to burn down an orphanage at this moment in time and still be fine. It is clear he is the golden boy of F1. There is even word of a Dutch GP which is only due to Verstappen. The difference is people seem to wait with bated breath for Hamilton to say something controversial then latch onto it.

Hamilton's posts are more stupidity than being nasty but it would not take much for the lefties to take him out if he is to slip up again. You just can't be like that if your in the public eye.

As you can see, after each race he takes his helmet out in the drivers room and fluffs up his balding look hair so he obviously has an 'ism about.
WTF has he done now though, you'd have thought he'd have a transplant off season.
And? Does any of what you just said actually matter. Balding, hair transplant... he gets in the car, sticks it on many poles, wins many races and picks up 4 WDC pots along the way. Where does his hair figure in the grand scheme of things.WTF has he done now though, you'd have thought he'd have a transplant off season.
They all mess with their hair and put team/sponsors caps on when camera and mic are pushed in their face post race.

Take him out! Seriously Jim, outside of F1, except when he's seen on the news winning or on the podium, most people are not interested in Lewis, Verstappen, Vettel. Alonso etc... Merc give Lewis a fairly easy ride. Don't forget, for a long time Mercedes had been seen as old men's cars. Lewis gives the brand a certain edginess in certain segments, especially AMG.
What are you going on about??I said IF Hamilton continues to make huge faux pas regarding things like "boy's should not wear dresses" it would not be long before the lefties would take him down.
It does not matter what Lewis does for Mercedes off or on the track.
Clearly the fact he turns up with the said boy, buying him a princess dress, in a fixed situation for the press, shows how much Hamilton himself knows this and felt he had to act.
IMO it would have been better not to do this as he is being slated even more as people are not stupid.
This is the problem with modern society. You can't say anything without offending someone.
