Quite. Just gamesmanship from Lewis. Vettel, or anyone else would probably say the same.
I thought it it was on the limit, and possibly even ironic after last year... Nothing to worry about.
Gamesmanship? Or a good memory, hasn’t Lewis been penilised for doing something similar in the past, and hasn’t Vettel complained about it....I mean at least Hamilton didn’t drive up alongside and run into Seb to prove the point.....I thought it it was on the limit, and possibly even ironic after last year... Nothing to worry about.

Now I was out on Saturday night so my memory might be a bit fuzzy.Did Vettel not gun it but got too much wheel spin so backed off knowing Lewis would get him?
Lewis reacted to this which resulted in him having to swerve?
Or was I just still drunk.

Not sure. Either way, are you allowed to ‘gun it’ and then back off again? Did Vettel not gun it but got too much wheel spin so backed off knowing Lewis would get him?
Lewis reacted to this which resulted in him having to swerve?
Or was I just still drunk.

I think it's all down to the lead driver when he goes or not.Lewis always seems to be on the ball when it comes to a restart and I think Vettel knew this.
It was clear after this happened Vettel then got the break he needed.

The F1 sporting regulations say: "In order to avoid the likelihood of accidents before the safety car returns to the pits, from the point at which the lights on the car are turned out drivers must proceed at a pace which involves no erratic acceleration or braking nor any other manoeuvre which is likely to endanger other drivers or impede the restart."

I thought it was far past the limit based on what the regulations clearly say. You don't have to be a Ham fan to see it. For me it was a blatant breach and I can't understand Whitting's position.I thought it it was on the limit, and possibly even ironic after last year... Nothing to worry about.

I have a feeling that there is a, lets call it an expectation, that The Show is now a factor in these decisions.
The owners don't too many interruptions or spoilers.
They really didn't want the race to end under a Safety Car on Sunday and so the track wasn't thoroughly cleaned up.
Vettel clearly was erratic to say the least, but that's too marginal nowadays it seems.

No way is an IT manager or computer consultant anywhere near the top 5% of wage earners in the UK. I say that speaking from experience, top 30% probably.
Percentile points from 1 to 99 for total income before and after tax easily puts IT managers in the top 5%; definitely in the late 90s; probably in the more recent years.Source: https://www.gov.uk/government/statistics/percentil...

Other than the fact that the debris wasn't from the accident, or in fact particularly near it. Or you could just leave your tinfoil hat on...The owners don't too many interruptions or spoilers.

It’s pretty clear what you said. You said that Hamilton is constantly going on about his background (as are his fans).
It's mostly the media. They recirculate it every so often. 'Poor boy done good' 'council estate' it makes better headlines. (better still, ethnic kid, they got him BBC's Blue Peter to fill the quota) It’s pretty clear what you said. You said that Hamilton is constantly going on about his background (as are his fans).
Lewis was being promoted by his Dad at a young age so would have gone along with it to a point. His tribal fans do use his circumstances to try and single him out as being extra special.
His opportunities arose very similar to other F1 drivers though. Very dedicated Dad into motorsport/cars and buys/builds him a Kart, Alonso, Button, Vettel.
Mansell and Senna were both also bought Karts and both had the land to play with them on. I remember a journalist way back trying to claim Senna was a 'farm boy from Brazil' and Mansell's financial struggles being highlighted.
Lewis has spoken about one of his toughest points and that was being shipped to two different homes, from his Dad's to his Mum's with fighting between his parents, Which can screw some kids up or certainly their routines and friendships. Karting would have been a good escape. Then you've got his Dad who would have used Karting as quality time with his kid. Apparently he came close to living with his Mum where he wouldn't have ended up where he is.
I think more meaningful headlines and more helpful/inspirational to other parents and kids out there, would have been ' Kid from divorced parents done good'
Hamilton to retire at the end of 2020?
Was bound to happen with the new 2021 regulations.

Bound to happen? It’s just Coulthard speculating... did you read the article? Hamilton hasn’t said anything of the sort...Was bound to happen with the new 2021 regulations.

Of course, Coulthard could be right; but there’s no actual evidence or mention of it.
