The Mercedes has not been dominant for the whole six years by any means. He had, according to most experts, the second best car last season for example, and still managed to win the title without any foul play.
We're those the same experts that concluded the Ferrari was the car to beat this season? Or some actual experts..?That's a genuine question. There are a few experts I think say very little, but when they do, it's often on the money.

The thing in my opinion about the Lewis of the last few years is that he is totally focussed and just plain good at winning championships. I think he got a shock when Nico managed to steal one as, all being equal, he knew that he was simply better. After all, he had been beating Nico since they were 12. So I reckon he really learned from that. Whilst still having the same fearsome pure pace he's had since Cadet Karts, he knows now how and when to most effectively use it.
I think this means from time to time accepting that the best thing on the day may sometimes be to finish second, or fourth, if necessary. I don't think the Lewis of 2011 really was quite so wise.
If Ferrari and Vettel had kept it together last season Vettel could've been champion. It just shows it's not simply about being in the best car although having a top line car gets you in the ball park. It's capable of getting you atop the podium. If you are capable of winning races.

I often refer to Mark Hughes of Motorsport magazine, but others as well. Most F1 insiders think that if Lewis had been in a Ferrari in 2018, he would have won the title more comfortably, and sooner.
As to the Ferrari this year, don't write them off yet. There is a feeling in the pitlane, apparently, that if and when they can fully unlock the potential of that car, it will be what everyone was expecting from testing.
I just think, that the reason it's reported that there is a 'feeling' about something in most sports, is because there is a glimmer of something that could be very exciting for the sport (Ferrari getting back on top in this instance), and it's all the pundits want to talk about all of a sudden. And it didn't help that Mercedes went out of their way to fuel the Ferrari rumours at every given opportunity. Then... after enough chatter, it becomes some sort of accepted 'fact'.As to the Ferrari this year, don't write them off yet. There is a feeling in the pitlane, apparently, that if and when they can fully unlock the potential of that car, it will be what everyone was expecting from testing.
In reality though, their outright pace at testing was marginally quicker than Mercedes, and we have no idea what wear that caused to the car/tyres. Their race pace was comparable to Mercedes in the end, perhaps slightly ahead - but not to the extent that they would dominate, not so far as I could see at least. And for all we know, when they got back to base and stripped the car down, they found all sorts of developing issues, concluded they were extremely lucky to not have had a public failure during testing and had no option but to scale things back a little for the race season. We just don't know, we never will. Nor will any expert. There are probably only a handful of people within Ferrari that have an overview of everything and could explain why the car now appears slower - and they aren't about to explain anything at all publicly.
I'm sure they are trying to unlock more performance, they always will be. It's no guarantee they'll manage it, last year they developed so hard they got it wrong and lost pace... And of course, Mercedes are also constantly developing too.
Bottom line is, there is no part of Ferrari as a team that appears as solid as Mercedes - who could have won this races this year even if the Ferrari was a little quicker, based on strategy and what appears to be a tyre wear issue Ferrari have.

He appears to have grown an extra pair of legs and is rocking a nice pair of kitten heal pumps (correct description of lady shoes unknown by poster)TheDeuce said:

Let's be honest, he looks like a bit of a bellend. But that's fine, I think he does these things just to irritate people anyway HighwayStar said:

That just says to me, he does what he likes and basically doesn’t give a fk!Not my thing, I’d never wear gear like that but... I’m sat at my desk working, others doing what they do... I think Lewis would be having the last laugh

I can't remember which season it was, but he left for the summer break looking vaguely normal, apart from a set of huge diamond stud earrings. Then after the break he came back, raced, took his cap off on the podium and revealed with a smile, a new haircut that nearly had my wife in stitches when she saw it.
I think it was maybe this one:
Although part of me thinks it might have been even stranger and I've just blocked it from memory.
EDIT: His hairstyles seem to have improved recently. And of course it doesn't matter, he's a very fine driver, good sportsman and can frankly do what he wants style-wise
