I think you might be scrapping the bottom of the barrel comparing Hamilton to Leclerc.
I understand the drivers are all “united” about there being no place for racism in the modern world.
The “political gesture” of taking the knee is not the same thing which I can understand some don’t agree with.
The point I'm making is nothing to do with the specifics of what taking a knee may or may not mean. I understand the drivers are all “united” about there being no place for racism in the modern world.
The “political gesture” of taking the knee is not the same thing which I can understand some don’t agree with.
The point I'm making is that, on here, some drivers appear to be held to different standards to others.

Imagine actually openly saying "He should know his place, and not publicly express any opinions that might polarise".
Some people are actually ridiculous.
Anyone that doesn’t agree with you is ridiculous? Some people are actually ridiculous.
That’s how it starts.
People turn away from otherwise good causes because they are shamed into supporting it.
Celebrities can add their weight to their chosen causes of course, but if they go about it in the wrong way it ends up working against their cause.
That is the way of the world which you don’t appear to grasp ?
A worthy cause like “equality” has now become polarised instead everyone meeting in the middle and doing something about it.
Perhaps the problem might not be with him here...

The most senior, most successful, most vociferous will of course be held to the highest standards of all.

It would, if Hamilton was doing anything wrong, if Hamilton was breaking some rules. That would be normal wouldn’t it ?
What has he done though - he's spoken out against racism and for the environment.
Leclerc broke the covid rules putting himself, his team and the whole F1 season at risk. What's the reaction on here - not a peep as far as I can tell.

Many millions break the Covid rules everyday.
It’s irrelevant to this discussion.
